"And, uh, as I said, this is gonna be where you land from falling off the clouds, and so what we're gonna have to do is dig in a bit, and, uh, fill it full of water? And uh, the water needs to be at least two blocks deep, uh, because if it's only one block deep, um, yeah... th-th-that's not- that's not good enough to save your life when you drop down, so... [laughs]"
— Stampy explaining that the rainbow for Raindrops requires an area dug down by two in order to prevent fall damage from killing the player.

"Colours Of The Rainbow" is the 125th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and his helpers build a rainbow to serve as a landing point for Raindrops.

Plot[]

Two holes and a cake coaster[]

Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x, making a joke based on his username by referring to cake as "C for cake", and then proceeds to eat it completely, and introduces LONG bow X99 as "L for LONG bow... X99", who Stampy reminds has been seen in a selection of his older episodes, having not been present in his videos for a while, and considering it nice that he has returned as a familiar face, as well as L for Leeeee x. Stampy then journeys to his Love Garden to prepare to give someone a shoutout, only to suddenly drop down a hole positioned right in front of the door from his storage area to his crafting room, unsure as to who would do it due to having done it previously. Filling in the hole, Stampy decides on a method of working it out by lining up his helpers and having them nod to confirm if they dug the hole. With no response, Stampy decides to lure the culprit's identity with a chicken. Stampy eventually concludes that LONG bow X99 is the culprit, and he confirms it by simply nodding.

Stampy then visits his Love Garden, giving a shoutout to ApollosDarkside for a video he had sent Stampy based on a cake rollercoaster he had made, themed around himself, his friends, and cake, thinking it to be amazing and hoping to join the world to ride the rollercoaster for himself, thanking him for creating it and welcoming him to his Love Garden, additionally saying that he will add a link in the description to see the full rollercoaster for his viewers. Suddenly, Stampy hears the sound of something wooden crashing against a surface to his confusion, and hears it evidently coming from a zombie. Stampy realises the zombie is directly underneath him, and then he goes to the bottom floor of his storage area to find the zombie having been repeatedly attempting to break down the door. Stampy opens the door, and then kills it immediately, pointing out the amount of noise it's making as he kills it with his sword. Entering the doghouse, Stampy notices all of the dogs standing to attention, and then sees LONG bow X99 in the corner of the pool, noting that he looks guilty since being exposed. Stampy wonders if LONG bow X99 has added a hole to the entrance of the doghouse, only to find that his floor is completely flat, and then decides to take Flippy with him, characterising her as the one with the "slightly-tilted head". As Stampy leaves the doghouse with Flippy, he encounters a hole in the main entrance hallway for the doghouse, falling down it. Stampy complains to his helpers for their antics, telling them they have a huge task to complete and that he won't complete as much if stuck in a hole in the ground. Stampy expects someone to clean the floor up since it's destruction, and L for Leeeeee x then decides to do it himself. Stampy logs each helper having tried to trap him in a hole once, and he ponders about them having a competition to trap him in a hole the most often.

Visiting his Tree Train, Stampy realises he has spent four minutes not explaining his plan for the episode, using the fact that he is heading to Stampy's Funland as a marker element, as he is continuing to build what he attempted to in the form of Raindrops. On his way through the tunnel, Stampy realises there is a torch missing on the wall of the tunnel, considering replacing it as he returns. Stampy implies the reason as to why he didn't complete much of Raindrops in the previous episode in that he caught himself in a "sticky situation", and that there was some form of battle, recommending his viewers to watch the previous episode in that it was fun and had ended in a good manner. Regardless of the aforementioned elements, however, he had made no amount of progress on Raindrops, hoping to make a majority of it in the current episode.

Arriving at Stampy's Funland, he explains for those unaware of what it is in that it is a log flume where the player drops down. Firstly, they travel up a big tunnel as shown directly in front of him, into some model clouds, and the tube is a water elevator that lifts a boat to the top of the clouds where they will then fall from the clouds and land on a rainbow. However, there is currently a rainbow absent, which is what is expected to be built in the current episode. Stampy had planned to demonstrate the ride in its current state, only to be unable to do so anyway due to the complete lack of water to land in after dropping, meaning that he would die from fall damage. He also explains how to build a water elevator, using the example episode "Water Elevator", having built one in Stampy's Secret Base, recommending his viewers to watch the video in order to learn how to make one. Stampy states that he also didn't want his viewers to watch him build the full water elevator for Raindrops as it is, as it took him an estimate of four to five hours in order to build it, meaning it would've been boring to watch him do so in recording.

Building the basic shape of a rainbow template for Raindrops[]

Sitting Flippy down in advance, Stampy gives some porkchops and eats some chicken for himself, and then proceeds to start building the rainbow. He describes the basics of it in that it has to be designed as a giant semi-circle around the sky, and that the dirt pillar he has positioned down marks the general location of the boat landing on its own accord, and judges the beginning of the rainbow as 14 blocks away from the dirt pillar marking the landing point, and he counts 14 blocks away from said dirt pillar to go along with that, starting the first block on the fourteenth. The first block in question is magenta wool, and he intends to make a tutorial for how to build one. Stampy instructs his viewers on how to build a circle in that the shape has to be symmetrical.

Starting to build the rainbow itself, Stampy explains that it requires being built up by four, then go in one each time as the number decreases to one, and then copying the pattern horizontally, which Stampy realises immediately sounds confusing as it is, hoping to make sense of it upon construction. Building it as instructed to his viewers, Stampy creates the first segment of the rainbow, stating that it takes a while, every other segment afterwards being of ease due to simply adding the others on top. Having completed the first vertical corner of the rainbow, Stampy starts to build the horizontal copy of the pattern, describing the pattern as "high as it is wide". Stampy starts to build the horizontal corner, ending up at the highest point where the boat drops down to. Stampy decides to make the middle point where the boat lands seven blocks long, and then instructs his viewers to then copy the pattern on the opposite side, advising to build up instead of build down.

Jumping down from the starting side of the rainbow, Stampy counts the number of blocks extending out below and across the highest point as 13, meaning that he now has to copy the number on the opposite side, hoping it to meet perfectly. Aligning himself with the edge, Stampy counts out by 13, hoping it ends up linking up, and he copies the same counting pattern as he did on the opposite side. Continuing to build the opposite side, Stampy explains that he intends to make the rainbow six blocks thick, intending to build the front of the rainbow first as it is the most difficult element. After confirming the wool colour he is using, Stampy continues to build the opposite side of the rainbow to connect it up to the top, and assures his viewers that building a circular shape is easy in Minecraft, and that his method of building is an effective way to create circular shapes in the game. Nearing the end, he worries if the rainbow fails to connect up, and he does so successfully, only needing to increase the thickness of the magenta row of rainbow afterwards. Due to it turning to night, however, Stampy warns L for Leeeee x that it is turning to night, telling him to sleep using the beds that are still inside of Shear Fun, planning to build the full front row first and then add the layers to the back of it, though L for Leeeee x still remains at the top despite his warning, and he tells him to come back down to sleep with everyone else, though he starts to realise that he may be inviting LONG bow X99 back into the game due to having lagged out. Inside of Shear Fun, Stampy decides to cut to the morning.

Completing the front row of the rainbow template for Raindrops[]

With the game having reset to day, Stampy accepts that LONG bow X99 has simply lagged out until returning him into the game, and continues to build the rainbow, having added the first row. Since the first row has been completed, Stampy now has to simply add the colours on top and then build the rainbow back. Additionally, since the player lands on the rainbow from the clouds, Stampy also has to dig into the rainbow and fill it with water that is in a pit at least two blocks deep, as opposed to one block deep, clarifying himself to be safety-conscious. Having build the purple row simply on top of the magenta row, Stampy has now given straight evidence as to the ease of building the rest of the rainbow, with the first row being the most difficult. After having to jump down multiple times to reach the bottom and fill in the rest of the colours, Stampy decides to eat porkchops in order to revive himself, and then attempts to gauge the basic line of colours for the rainbow.

Since he has already built the magenta and purple row, Stampy has to now build the blue row, to which he clarifies that the rainbow won't possess every exact colour of the rainbow, though Minecraft itself practically does, hoping the rainbow works either way, and then he realises what he should add to the end of the rainbow, as the rainbow will serve as a big slide, meaning that there should be a pool of water to land in at the end, which he is unsure of what to stylise as. He considers adding a pot of gold, though he is unsure. Ending the blue row, Stampy tries to gauge the colours leading upwards, hoping to have enough wool to build, only to realise that he should be shearing the sheep in the pens as he does when generally in the area, proceeding to do so, stating that every sheep is of the necessary colours to build the rainbow. Having sheared the sheep, Stampy clarifies that not a lot of wool is necessary for him, as he is only adding one row of each colour, though the alternative of two rows each is present. However, Stampy believes its current design to look okay anyway.

Stampy decides to remove the coloured wool he no longer needs to give himself space in his inventory, and then gathers green wool. On his way back to the rainbow, Stampy realises that he has made Flippy sit down the entire epsiode, and decides to stand her up, though only if she remains safe and doesn't repeatedly dive off of the rainbow's top. Starting to build the green row, Stampy states that he also intends to test out Raindrops as it is with the rainbow. However, the issue with the water elevator is that it isn't particularly fast, though it still allows the ability to travel up quicker than if it were to use a ladder, meaning the player spends around half of a minute ascending and then taking ten seconds to drop down. Stampy finds a benefit to this in that the player receives a view upon climbing up, though he notes an issue with style in that water can't be seen through other water through glass, meaning that his lakes appear completely empty, which Stampy considers to be peculiar about the game.

Completing the green row, Stampy gathers yellow wool, the only remaining colours then being orange and red, allowing the front of the rainbow to be complete as he intends for the rainbow to look complete from the front only. To compensate for this, Stampy plans to increase the speed of the video and play music over the top, and then check if he has the time to show the rainbow working, as he doesn't want to spend all the time building the rainbow only not have the first ride on it. Due to Flippy interjecting as he tries to continue with the yellow row, Stampy chastises her for her to leave, and then sees her moving around erratically on the unfinished rainbow behind, admiring her dance moves as she does them additionally, calling it the "Flippy Flip". Noting the movement she is making as spinning her head in a circle and wagging her tail, comparing it to rubbing one's stomach area and tapping one's head, offering his viewers to do just that. On the topic of difficult moves to make simultaneously, Stampy also offers his viewers to spin their right leg clockwise, and draw a big '6', telling his viewers to also give him updates on whether or not it works for them, as he is unable to do so himself. He also recommends someone who actually can do it to also send him a video of properly doing such, which he will reward by having his mind blown and having the individual doing so successfully added to the Love Garden, as it's difficult to do since it typically leads to one's leg or hand starting to wave spontaneously.

Starting to build the orange row, Stampy also states that it should be done properly and clearly, and that it's difficult to do, though rather funny watching others do so. Stampy points out that he only has two colours remaining as he is halfway through the orange row, only for Flippy to teleport in front him again, reminding him why he sat her down in the first place as he pushes her into the rainbow, intending to move her away so the rest of the rainbow can be built. Now with the orange row remaining, Stampy has to complete the rainbow with a red row, and he states that he he like the ride due to being fun to drop from the great height that it's set in, and that it is also an excuse to build a rainbow as he is doing. Stampy had stated previously that he has planned to build to build a rainbow, and has come up with an exact reason to do just that with the ride.

Now starting to gather the red wool to create the red wool, Stampy also proclaims that, after filling in the rest of the rainbow at the back, Stampy also intends to then add the water, adding a deep area in the middle filled with water, expecting it to be where the boat lands, afterwards leading into a normal slide of water, which he thinks to look cool. Stampy explains that the boat lands where the block is without guiding, but the boat can also be guided to land far in front of the set location of the rainbow, even to the point of managing to reach the sheep pen, or otherwise the Rubik's cube directly next to the rainbow. Stampy also had an idea for another mini-game in which the player can also rise up in a boat and then drop onto a target, in some form of an archery board, and the points are dependent on the landing location. However, Stampy believes himself to not build it for a long time as it is too similar to what he is currently building. He receives an idea for how to compensate for this by implementing the mini-game idea on the opposite side of the elevator, making it a two-in-one mini-game.

After finishing the front row of the rainbow, Stampy takes a step back to admire the full scale of it, criticising the blue, and also criticises the Shear Fun mini-game and Crystal Waters and Crystal Rapids ride getting in the way of it, deciding to look at it from a bottom right corner angle instead, thinking it looks better from that angle and admiring it. Stampy then states that he will increase the speed of the video until the point where the water then has to be placed, and then have the first ride after climbing up the water elevator.

Completing the basic rainbow model & digging in the top of the rainbow to create a flow of water[]

After the timelapse, Stampy has finished completing the rainbow. However, after having slept to reset to day, he notices L for Leeeee x immediately leaving the interior of Shear Fun, telling him to give him cake due to it being morning. He finds out that L for Leeeee x actually lacks the cake necessary for him, and he expresses a distraught exclamation upon finding it to be the case, instead substituting the cake with a porkchop, deciding it doesn't matter. With the rainbow model complete, Stampy simply has to complete the water element, telling LONG bow X99 and L for Leeeee x to create a pool of water, noticing L for Leeeee x dashing off to retreive cake. With L for Leeeeee x absent, he instead assigns LONG bow X99 to create said pool, and then crafts a set of ladders in order to climb up the rainbow. While placing the ladders, Stampy attempts to give an estimation of the duration taken to fill in the rainbow, estimating it took seven to ten minutes, believing he has made good progress on the rainbow in the episode.

Reaching the top, Stampy sees LONG bow X99 climbing onto the top of Shear Fun, questioning how he will get down from the top anyway. He accepts that LONG bow X99 is accepting his life on top of Shear Fun, and deems the only people in a team are himself and Flippy due to L for Leeeee x gathering cake and LONG bow X99 building on top of Shear Fun. Stampy starts to prepare the water pit at the top, starting to dig it out at the top row where he hopes will serve as a "landing pad" of sorts. Digging away at the top, Stampy decides to remove the entirety of the first row one in, intending to fill it all with water and prevent the player from dying due to fall damage. Flippy continues spontaneously running around the rainbow's edge, and Stampy advises her to remain careful due to there being a big drop down below. Stampy calls himself out for not learning not to take his dogs on high areas, only to see Flippy jumping off of the rainbow. Luckily, she teleports directly next to him, her tail having decreased significantly before sitting her down on the edge. Stampy checks for his other helpers, only finding L for Leeeee x returning with presumably cake and LONG bow X99 continuing to remain on top of Shear Fun. As he finishes digging away at the side of the rainbow, Stampy explains that he simply has to place water on top to lead the water down in order to create a water slide, hoping it to work out eventually. Reaching the bottom of the rainbow, Stampy finds that there is a complete lack of a pool of water at the end of the rainbow, and he offers L for Leeeee x take the task of creating it.

Finishing his removal of the red row and arranging it for the water on the side, Stampy decides it to be the general area for it to drop down, and then climbs back up, remarking the slop as a "perfect little water slide". Now at the top, Stampy creates an infinite water source in the rainbow itself, having some buckets on his person in advance, filling his buckets with water and then filling in the top of the rainbow. Stampy finds out that LONG bow X99 has returned to him, and he follows LONG bow X99 to the house that he had built on top of Shear Fun, considering he should check the house he had made via ender pearl the same way LONG bow X99 teleported to his house on top of Shear Fun himself. Stampy continues filling in the water in the main area of the water slide on the rainbow to make sure there aren't any water streams present, filling in the top only as it's the landing point, not being required to fill in the slope due to water already traveling down anyway. Stampy wonders if the water is complete in the main pit, and decides he should simply fill in the water in the event of it not being as even as he had presumed it to be.

After filling in the water, Stampy then digs down the main area by two to prevent the possibility of him dying, something that he can do as the water will remain in the same layer the whole way through, creating a steep section to land on. He also considers possibly digging down further, though he concludes he should remain on the level that he is at anyway to prevent the structure from looking ugly. Shearing away at the first layer, Stampy hopes the distance is enough to drop in as the main water elevator leads to an area high up, though minor differences can lead to potential off-course routes, inspiring him to potentially add a sign reading "RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK" in case he is sued for causing someone's death.

Testing Raindrops and general failure[]

Removing the final yellow row, Stampy walks down to the side to find L for Leeeee x currently digging in a pool of water, telling him that he has a time constraint due to him deciding to test Raindrops as it is, otherwise leading to his death. He also gives L for Leeeee x some buckets to speed this process up, and then slides down the water slide due to having no particular method of traveling down, giving L for Leeeee x some extra buckets, and then traveling over to the entrance of the ride. Stampy clarifies that it still takes time to travel up, considering this to be a liability due to allowing a view over the world, and then crafts a boat, walking over to the water elevator. Stampy finds that he dislikes the entrance to the ride, considering possibly fixing it, as it is simply placed in the middle of nowhwere, considering add a rainbow or raindrop to decorate it. Starting to rise up, Stampy monitors the current state of the rainbow, realising the infinite water source still remains there, and also sees LONG bow X99's house on top of Shear Fun. Once again, Stampy states that he likes the opportunity to view over the world due to the long duration taken to rise up, and then takes note of the water disappearing due to glass and water textures together, using Crystal Waters and Crystal Rapids as his prime example due to being made of water.

Stampy eventually reaches the top cloud, expecting himself to not require movement in order to land on the rainbow. He lands on the second cloud successfully, allowing him to eventually drop all the way down and just before the water pit where the boat is supposed to land, instead landing near his water source, his misfortune causing him to draw out a longer laugh than usual. Respawning back in Shear Fun, Stampy calls the test a failure, and decides to make the rule of the ride to stay forward while riding in it instead, and he is then given a cake by L for Leeeee x as the two of them stand around in the open land behind the rainbow, telling him that he isn't hungry due to having his hunger reset from dying, assuring him that he will eat the cake eventually anyway. Before the end of the epsiode, Stampy tries to throw an ender pearl on top of Shear Fun to see LONG bow X99's house, only for his attempt to fail due to LONG bow X99 intercepting the ender pearl's trajectory and causing Stampy to fall all of the way down and die a second time. Stampy respawns, announcing the end of the episode, and stating that he plans to fix the rainbow, hoping to eventually have the first actual ride of Raindrops, as well as saying that he hopes his viewers enjoyed the video, him having fun creating it and thanking his helpers, ending the episode with the lien "And of course, as always, a massive thank you to you for watching, and I'll see you guys, in the next episode. Byeeeee!"
