"Googlie Goods" is the 112th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and his helpers add a floor, ceiling, and roof to the Pick-A-Pet Pet Shop, and he then adds an area to the second floor to allow mobs to spawn and drop down to the main floor.
Plot[]
Cakes, roses & pumpkins[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x, who exits from the painting holding a cake, as well as Amy Lee33 and SALEMS LADY, who he is unsure of the specific location of within his house until they actually appear. Amy Lee33 stands outside of the right door to give Stampy a whole selection of roses, which he takes note of, following said note with the virtue of a cake from L for Leeeee x. Stampy asks him for the cake, and as he places it down, Stampy recalls there being a table in his bedroom at one point so he didn't have to eat off of the floor. Stampy inquisitions SALEMS LADY on if she has any presents, to which she gives him a pumpkin, at first deciding to wear it before realising that he will be limited in sight. Stampy thanks her for the gift either way and decides to simply store it in his inventory.
Afterwards, Stampy then moves onto his Love Garden, giving a shoutout to "jog on turbo", adding him for a tweet that reads "@stampylongnose. I've got an idea for something you should build in your world is a wooden sign in your love garden with my name on it. :)" Stampy had thought to laugh over it as he firstly presumed it would be a suggestion before realising what it actually was, and he decided to accept it either way. Stampy informs his viewers of the rules of the Love Garden in that at the beginning of every episode, he adds someone's name to a sign to give them a shoutout for various reasons, like drawing pictures, making jokes or giving him suggestions, but he refrains from those who ask as it leads to comments being repeated over and over again, leading the comments to be boring while reading through them. Now at the doghouse, Stampy decides to take Sherbet, characterising him as "slightly smaller" compared to the rest of the dogs, as Sherbet is his youngest so far, being born in his Top Paw Assault Course and turning out the previous fastest dog, not noting that Flippy easily exceeded him in the previous episode, and he hasn't yet picked him up for an episode, and doing it as planned, Stampy welcomes Sherbet to the video and as to why his dogs don't want to be picked by him.
Filling in a main cow-themed floor & a zebra-themed ceiling for the Pick-A-Pet Pet Shop[]
Now arriving at the Pick-A-Pet Pet Shop, Stampy states that he will continue building in this episode, of which has extended up to nine blocks in regards to the main walls since the previous episode, being assisted by his helpers to complete the majority of the building. While his helpers manage the roof, which is notably a flat black surface, Stampy decides to work elsewhere, considering the floor, which is a completely bare canvas as of yet. In the process of removing the original ground to replace it, Stampy's helpers had found a mineshaft of mysterious origin, failing to recall when he built it and only being aware that it was built during the very first episodes, stating that he likes digging around his world as it's comparable to digging for artifacts as there are many things underground or generally around his world that he built over a year ago, such as miniature fake houses, somewhat looking for "relics" as he explores his world.
While filling in the floor with white, Stampy explains that he also plans to create some episodes where he simply mines around various areas, as he practically builds all of the time, and most of his viewers prefer him exploring as opposed to building. However, Stampy considers building to be better as he makes progress, and he gathers his resources outside of videos and then adds it in the video. Stampy then realises that he is running out of white wool to fill in the floor, asking his helpers if they have any themselves to complete the floor. Stampy realises the lack of context he has given, starting to explain the floor in that he wants the floor to appear as a cow in some form, specifically white and black variants, with the ceiling appearing as a zebra.
Starting to add patterns, Stampy states that the pattern doesn't need to appear exactly like the animals themselves, wanting the pet shop to be animal-themed, such as the walls being a giraffe or cheetah. He continues to add in various blotches of black, adding one in the far right corner, stating that he hopes the pattern looks okay as he hasn't actually attempted to build it as it was mostly an idea in his head. Stampy says that most of the time, what he comes up with balances between looking good or awful, and he hopes the floor will end up the former. Stampy states that the floor appears more like Tetris than a cow due to being made of blocks, and then realises that he actually likes the pattern, thinking the floor to be cool. Still decorating the floor, Stampy asks his helpers if they have any extra white wool in hand to add the ceiling, and in a comical fashion, L for Leeeee x drops down from the roof to spew white wool everywhere in masses, Amy Lee33 also giving him some, additionally planning to add the second floor after filling in the floor and ceiling, said floor being restricted as it's where the mobs spawn, intending to add a dark room above the main floor so that mobs spawn inside, and they then end up carried by a current of water and then pushed to the back of the shop behind a panel of glass so that people can buy, for example, a creeper, recalling the idea to be called "Ghastly Ghouls and Googlie Goods".
After filling in the floor, Stampy starts the ceiling, deciding on a systematic method, deciding to count by five per row and then stagger the pattern by two, telling his helpers not to join in with him. Stampy nearly forgets the pattern, and remembers, though he is unsure of it's how the pattern is intended to be, deciding on the pattern the way that he is since zebras have stripes that are somewhat uncoordinated. Stampy staggers the fourth row in the opposite direction, and states that the ceiling isn't the exact style that he intends to have it, but there isn't supposed to be any form of exactness in the first place as the location is supposed to be themed as generic animal fur. Stampy starts to think that he is using too much white, deciding to use more of his black wool, stating that he wasn't as prepared as he presumed and that he has sheep dyed the necessary colours around his world. Seeing the ceiling, Stampy thinks the pattern looks appealing, though he believes it to not be a zebra regardless. Stampy continues filling in the ceiling, nearly finishing the ceiling as he comments on how his helpers are repeatedly giving him wool as he adds the ceiling, meaning he is consistently supplied, adding that his helpers have also completed the roof.
Finishing the ceiling, Stampy decides he should add the sign reading "PAP" to stand for "Pick A Pet" at the end of the episode. After completing it, Stampy looks over at the final product of the floor and ceiling, admiring the appearance. He criticises the appearance of the ceiling in that it actually looks nothing like a zebra, though regardless, it still appears a funky pattern in some manner, deeming the basic idea. Stampy notes how SALEMS LADY and himself had a "cat fight" of sorts, since he isn't used to having other cats in his world, and due to the repeated addition of cat skins, he will be encountering more of them.
Adding a mob spawner to the second floor of the Pick-A-Pet Pet Shop[]
Stampy then moves onto the mob spawner above, deciding to enter through the ceiling from the back, adding a crafting table to craft various materials, stating that the second floor will not have an entrance upon completion, such as a staircase. He crafts ladders and signs, stating the purpose of the latter to be to block the water off. Since he lacks them but requires them, Stampy realises he need water buckets, finding eight empty buckets in the chest for Stampy's Hot Buns and using the ocean nearby to fill two of them up with water to create an infinite water source, which he explains is a 2x2 hole filled with water, deciding to make one on the second floor.
Prepared, he then enters through the second floor, recalling that it will be pitch black, hoping there are none to see when he first enters the general area, though he recalls that due to their distance, they may not have spawned yet. Upon entering the second floor, Stampy finds that this is indeed the case and decides to add torches to remove them eventually to spawn the mobs. Stampy starts by adding a raised platform of dirt, which he hopes to source the mobs from, intending for it to be one half of the room, the other being the water, expecting them to spawn around the area and then drop themselves into the water as they wander around aimlessly, dropping them down to the main floor. Stampy sees L for Leeeee x next to him, commenting on his sudden appearance as he dropped through the roof as "elegant". Stampy clarifies that he hasn't a particular reason for the platform being dirt as it mostly acts a quality material for the job.
Stampy finishes the basic platform with white wool, specifying that the area above only needs function, and then creates his infinite water source in the corner, expecting to inform his viewers on how to add the water, stating that he has to a pit at the end so that the mobs can drop down after being pushed to the edge, commenting how he's cruel to them before realising that they have killed his dogs, blown him up and generally made his life miserable, remarking it to be payback by mocking them as the customers look through the glass. Seeing the roses added to the ground, Stampy tells Amy Lee33 that, though the likes them, it won't necessarily prevent them from spawning, meaning he has to get rid of them. Seeing her hold her head low, Stampy apologises to her, deciding he should add a flower pot with the rose on it in some manner, which he does.
Having completed the general platform and gathered water, Stampy starts to position the water in the intended locationm though he recalls that he has to add signs in order to prevent the water from flowing down and allow the mobs to walk through and drop down. Stampy continues filling in the floor, showing how the water pushes entities as he is pushed himself, intending to remove the torches and then dash back down before, for example, a creeper spawns to add the glass, as mobs are unable to see through glass, meaning a player can press themselves up against the glass and not lead a creeper to explode, hoping the outcome won't be disastrous upon spawning them.
Stampy adds the last flow of water, then filling in water source to remove it, intending to remove the torches, return back down, and then add the glass pane, completing the system. Stampy considers additionally adding a divider of some sort, only to realise that keeping the glass as it is to allow full sight of the mobs is more satisfying. Removing the final torch, Stampy deems the second floor able to spawn mobs, and then sees Amy Lee33's flower having been broken, much to his pity, deciding to replace it due to promise, adding one to the floor in the corner, though he is unsure if it prevents any form of spawning in the first place, deciding to add it in anyway and remarking it to be "the one nice thing" in the room.
Stampy prepares to climb back down to add the glass, only to realise that the light from the main floor will shine into the second floor. At first he thinks that the room will be dark enough, only for his decision to be changed by L for Leeeee x's conclusion, returning back up as he states that he hadn't considered the possibility, stating that he needs a method to block off the light to darken the area extra. Stampy decides he should divide the spawning area with a dividing wall, and he sees L for Leeeee x adding an overhang to block the light instead, which Stampy dismisses due to mob size. Stampy states that he hadn't thought about the circumstance, and then crafts some wood planks to add walls, thinking to add separate rooms with trails of water, adding a wooden plank wall with the intention of adding a miniature opening to add a trail of water, and then spreads torches around the general area he is building. Stampy states that he at least wants one mob spawning prior to the end of the episode to verify if it works, and then adds a dip for water to travel through in the middle, hoping the solution he has thought of will work. After doing so, Stampy adds water to the wall, expecting it to lead the water over distantly, only to find that it simply meets in the middle area.
Stampy decides to remedy this by adding a sign to prevent the flow of water from the water within the room colliding with the water within the main water flow, stating that water's physics is weird and awkward, and then adds said sign. Stampy says that he hopes the room will be dark enough on the overall, blocking off the top of the opening to limit down to two blocks of height. Stampy requests L for Leeeee x to remove the torches so he is able to add the glass below, hoping to lead a mob to spawn.
Adding a glass panel for the mob spawner of the Pick-A-Pet Pet Shop & leading over a pig, sheep and cow[]
Now at the main floor, Stampy removes the main ladder in the corner due to how unnecessary it is, and then starts to add the wall of glass panes, not wanting the area to be too big as he makes it one block wide since mobs don't take up space, additionally not wanting to take up room from the shop. Stampy states that he is unsure if he will possess enough glass to add it all, as he had enough smelting prior to the episode. He also decides to refrain from adding torches to the back of the room to guarantee mobs spawning, intending for torches to only be at the front of the shop. Stampy plans to, after adding the glass, sleep, and then try to lure animals over to the pet shop, since he has a wide variety of them such as pigs, cows and sheep, as well as chickens and Fluffy, having a variety of animals to choose from. From below, Stampy realises the water is leaking through the roof, an element he had forgotten, which he states that he hates.
Stampy tells his helpers to then dash over to a bed, hoping for mobs to spawn upon returning with the animals, realising that he is being hurt by something, only to find that it's due to his hunger level due to forgetting to eat something, entering Stampy's Hot Buns to eat cake and intend not to die before returning to his bedroom, and upon seeing L for Leeeee x give him cake, Stampy states the redundancy as the entirety of the building is themed around cake in the first place. Stampy plans to gather animals from his animal farm after sleeping, intending to bring them to the pet shop, considering leaving them wandering in the pet shop and then add actual pens to separate them in the next episode. Stampy wonders how he will design the pet shop in regards to this, considering colour-coding it to the animal, such as adding a pink pen for the pigs, as well as a brown pen for the cows, and a white pen for the wolves.
After resetting to day, Stampy sees the Moon descend to turn to day, reconsidering sleeping in the first place, deciding that everyone has at least rested. Stampy travels to his animal farm, opening the gates for his main farm in advance, stating that the last time he tried to lure animals from his animal farm, he led them through his house instead, which inevitably didn't work for him, thinking instead to lead them through the main farm instead. At his animal farm, Stampy tries to tediously lure out only one of each animal, gathering a pig and a black sheep, dismissing that he needs a cow as he has a cow on the roof of Stampy's Overwear anyway. With both of his animals in his attention, Stampy calls Sherbet to be his sheepdog, planning to simply leave the animals in the shop so he can eventually add pens for them, hoping to be greeted by the sound of one of the mobs. At the farm itself, Stampy decides to travel down the straight staircase while telling them to go in single file. Stampy states that his task is going somewhat easy as the last time he attempt to do just this, the animals were falling, dying, and getting lost, now having two cooperative animals with him, repeating that he will plan to leave them in the shop. Stampy states that he also has a chicken in Stampy's Hot Buns that he can reassign, and also repeats the presence of the cow on the roof of Stampy's Overwear, recalling the necessary animals as ocelots.
On his way over, the cow suddenly drops down from the roof of Stampy's Overwear, much to his surprise, and he then leads all of the animals into the pet shop. Upon returning, declining his expectations, Stampy finds that there are no mobs present in the back of the pet shop, greatly disappointing him, starting to wonder if it's due to presence within a particular area. He considers staying around the area for sometime after the video to verify if any mobs spawn, deciding to rearrange the layout above in the event of them not doing so to guarantee they spawn. Stampy deems the end of the episode as it is, stating that he will continue building his pet shop in the next episode, hoping his viewers stay to see it, and then thanks his helpers for helping, as well as Sherbet for being a good dog, and then ends the episode with the line "And, uh, most importantly, a big thank you for you for spending, uh, your last 20 minutes with us in my Lovely World, and I'll see you, in the next episode. Byeee!"
