"Um, there we go, there's-there's my froggy face! I kinda like it, I know it's a bit silly and it doesn't look much like a frog but I kinda like it." |
— Stampy in regards to the general shape of the frog face model for Bouncy Boats. |
"Froggy Faces" is the 157th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and his helpers finish building, and he then hosts a test tournament on the complete design of Bouncy Boats.
Plot[]
Cheeky bear & a really bad man voice[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x, who is currently sticking his backside out behind the painting, which leads Stampy to ask him if he is being cheeky, which he denies until he accepts that he is, and then asks him for a cake by implication of following along with the topic, which he is able to partially eat, leaving his bedroom also he also introduces rosie833, surprised by her appearance on the stairs just outside of his bedroom, walking further upwards onto the floor above to also introduce WeeWeeGaming, since it has been a long time since his previous appearance, deciding he should be invested in the fun that he and his helpers will be involved in, since everyone is going to play Bouncy Boats, which he was building in the previous episode and has added the redstone to since, hoping to complete it in the present episode.
Visiting the Love Garden, Stampy gives a shoutout to "Lexi Oldham" for a message she sent on Facebook reading: "SPRUCE.......... You just said that in a really bad man voice", which he does upon reading the message, adding her to his Love Garden for the excuse to say "spruce" in the aforementioned manner. After, he explains to his viewers as to what the Love Garden is in that, at the start of every episode, he visits to give someone a shoutout to thank them for leaving a silly comment, a picture, or a video At the doghouse, L for Leeeee x decides to pick Benton on Stampy's behalf, deciding to also take Mittens with him, since he always likes to take her with him, though he knows he won't be able to take her with him all of the time, entering the Kitty Cat Condo to stand her up for her to join in the episode, and then jumping off of the balcony at the back and into the water, an experience of which he finds to be entertaining as Benton and Mittens follow behind him, telling them to be careful. Seeing them swim together, Stampy wonders if Mittens is being a friend to all of his dogs, at first believing the case to only be with Duncan.
A change of pace & redstone updates for Bouncy Boats[]
As a change of pace, Stampy decides he should instead run over to Stampy's Funland rather than use the Tree Train due to the short distance, explaining his plan to continue building Bouncy Boats. Though the mini-game may be working in the previous episode, including a fun event of playing through it, only now being required to decorate it, as well as show the mechanical elements to it. Arriving at the mini-game, Stampy shows one of the two sides, having added a redstone element to it, and then shows the main pool area to show that he has kept it somewhat the same, thinning out the lily pad models and making the ladders wide by one than three. To start, Stampy shows the starting mechanism added, showing the first stage of the boats being absent and the doorways being shut, and upon pulling the lever for it to be in a lifted position, Stampy shows the doors to open on both sides, as well as a boat having been dispensed on the side, essentially serving as an automated method of starting the mini-game, after which the player can then use the ladders to climb out of the mini-game and pull the lever again to close the doors up again, establishing the basic functions of the mini-game.
Stampy has additionally altered the main goal, changing the concept of using mushrooms to using sand and gravel, which he demonstrates, showing the sand to then be positioned within an indent so it drops down onto a torch underneath to break the sand and land on a pressure plate to indicate the winner, said indication also having been changed in that, with the two frog face models featuring one sticking the tongue out to represent eating a fly and the other crying in response, which he will emulate using dispensers, thinking it to be amusing. He then decides he should start building the frog faces, having decided to instead use a design representing tropical frogs rather than traditional frogs, using purple and yellow instead due to the excess of green in the mini-game already.
Building two frog face models for Bouncy Boats[]
Stampy decides to start on the first frog face model, having formed a design already. Firstly, he judges the center, only to end up falling in the water and lead himself into issue trying to escape again, deciding to leave the entrance door open so he can easily escape. Returning back to the top, he starts to construct the purple frog face model, the main bottom section being five blocks long. On each end, he proceeds to build up diagonally and inward by three, explaining the multiple design choices he went through as he firstly intended for the frog face to include a smile, which didn't work for the tongue, then deciding for a nose, only to decide against it too, planning for the frog to simply serve a purpose, with it also being somewhat miniature to fit in with the mini-game.
Having created the main basis of the frog face models, Stampy moves onto the eyes, adding dispensers and a single block of white wool on top, surrounding the eyes with the rest of the face material bar the corners, hopoing it to appear as a frog face model as he returns back down onto the ground to check out what it looks like, and upon doing so, concludes that he likes it as it is, though it he is aware it somewhat doesn't look like a frog. Then, Stampy proceeds to add the tongue to the frog face, deciding to add it from the back in the form of one red wool, thinking the additional detail looks fine.
Now finishing the first face, Stampy proceeds to copy the design on the opposite side exactly the same way, firstly explaining what his helpers are doing in that they are continuing to surround the mini-game with a wall styled like the grass within a pond. Firstly, to start on the opposite side, Stampy builds the surface up by one in the same pattern, which he will use a yellow frog face for. He states that he is aware of the practicality of just using green frog faces instead to make it appear as a real frog, deciding not to due to the already-present excess of green. Starting to build the yellow frog face, Stampy challenges how quickly he can build it, recommending his viewers to time him. Adding a timer to the overlay, he starts to build the yellow frog face, already making a design error, which leads him to remark on why he is inexperienced with quick builds due to pressure, creating main shape for the face model firstly at a much more effective rate. At 33 seconds, Stampy remains with adding the eyes, which he successfully does, surrounding them in the yellow of the face afterwards as he admires the period he had completed the second face in, adding the final design of the mouth and stopping at exactly one minute. After doing so, Stampy jumps down into the pool underneath to admire the design, finding it to be weird in a yellow base and that it doesn't look like a frog, then comparing the two frog faces to confirm they are the same.
Finishing up walls & testing the complete design of Bouncy Boats[]
With the frog face models complete, Stampy explains that there will be a set of redstone torches to extend the tongue and cause the other frog to cry using the dispensers in the eyes. With the understanding of the time currently being night, Stampy calls all of his helpers to sleep, recalling when there were creepers the previous time the game was played, telling them to take entry into Flower Power for a bed separated between one player each, finding their failed attempts to leave from the main pool area of the mini-game so far to be comical, since the main point of escape is via the ladders. Telling his helpers to enter into the nearby Flower Power base, Stampy plans to help the rest of his helpers in setting down the detail of the grass, afterwards testing the game, additionally trying to maintain the team divisions with himself and L for Leeeee x against the remaining two helpers, with Stampy playing as the boater, meaning he will sail around while L for Leeeee x jumps across him.
Before helping his helpers, Stampy decides to detail the function of the starting mechanism, explaining that the lever links up to a set of pistons with redstone repeaters fully delayed so the doors open at the same time, and a second trail of redstone then leads underground for the boat dispenser, including an inverted signal so that the boat for the main game is also dispensed when the door opens up, hoping that he is making some form of sense. Journeying underground, Stampy shows the main location the trail of redstone leads to, showing it to travel to the opposite side where the main redstone mechanism is then copied, additionally showing that the yellow team is indicated with gravel with the purple side is indicated by sand, using both materials due to dropping, which he demonstrates with the gravel by setting it down outside of the game's entrance.
Finishing up on tediously explaining the redstone mechanism, Stampy moves onto finishing the walls with his helpers to play the mini-game itself, planning to also connect the rest of the redstone to the frog faces to work as intended, then planning for a tournament to be set in afterwards in a best-of-three format, eager for a test game in the present episode, telling his helpers to block the walls off to prevent players from actually escaping completely. Looking at the mini-game as it is from an aerial point, Stampy admires the general difference in style, considering most to look cool while others look "plain and boring", as he points to Fish Me A Dish directly in front of him, intending for a bright and colourful unique style this time around. Stampy expresses that he is curious to the experience as a boater, thinking most others would prefer to be a bouncer due to his own personal mediocrity with parkour.
After filling in the remaining necessary blocks for the wall, Stampy decides to start the main test game off, removing a spare purple wool block and boat, telling his opponent team to assigns themselves to the yellow team while he himself assigns himself to the purple team like last time, establishing to his viewers that the mini-game is generally partially still incomplete due to the obviousness of the holes in the construct, telling his viewers to ignore the situation. Enacting the test, Stampy calls L for Leeeee x down and resets the entrances, excusing rosie833 of the door in advance, then rallying L for Leeeee x to come to him, which he eventually does via breaking through from inside. Before the test game, Stampy decides to motivate L for Leeeee x in that they will win, which eventually succeeds, and he then gives a countdown to start off the test game.
Starting the test game, Stampy enters into his boat, planning for an advantage due to being based on the middle area, L for Leeeee x serving as a bouncer being able to jump across to the first lily pad successfully, to Stampy's surprise. On his way to the middle, he sees the opposite team in the water together, telling them one of them should enter into a boat, and L for Leeeee x then manages to reach the second lily pad, to Stampy's astonishment. On his way over to the opposite side to allow L for Leeee x to jump across to the end the first time, Stampy ends up finding a misplaced block that ends up nearly suffocating him, and he decides to travel around on the opposite side due to the presence of a boat blocking him. On his way over, he sees rosie833 and WeeWeeGaming both in the water together without a boat, to his surprise. Eventually, L for Leeeee x manages to reach the end the first time to gather the gravel as WeeWeeGaming attempts and fails to jump across Stampy, seeing rosie833 also having returned a boat to herself, to his surprise.
Returning back, L for Leeeee x decides to jump off of rosie833's boat, a move he admires, and he cleanly proceeds with the second jump, allowing Stampy to then allow L for Leeeee x the final jump as he sees WeeWeeGaming spontaneously running around the area. On the final jump, Stampy deems himself and L for Leeeee x the winners, admiring the performance made, and he then goes to check on their opponents' antics. For the sake of fun, Stampy offers rosie833 to be a bouncer instead while he serves as a boater, instructing her to wait for him to position himself, allowing her to sprint and jump across, which rosie833 manages to successfully do, proceeded by WeeWeeGaming failing completely as he falls in at the last second. Stampy decides to offer him another attempt so he can show that all of the helpers present are capable of completing the game, seeing WeeWeeGaming make a run-up before successfully completing the first jump himself, to Stampy's admiration.
After, Stampy explains once again that he will complete the redstone mechanisms for the next episode so the frog faces can cry and eat flies, and then states that he hopes his viewers enjoyed watching him build the faces in question, thanking his helpers for joining in with him and building the mini-game, explaining his plans for the next episode in that it will be played properly, then ending the episode with the line "But for now, that's the end. So I wanna thank you all very, very much for watching, and I will see you later. Byeeeee!"
