Stampy's Funland (spelt as STAMPYS FUNLAND on the entrance sign) is the amusement park/mini-game hub of Stampy's Lovely World.

Overview[]

Stampy's Funland is the biggest area within Stampy's Lovely World. It is a plot of land where rides, attractions and crazy games are located and where Stampy and his friends play all day long. Building mini-games, rides and attractions takes one to three episodes before they have a tester go (optional) to see if the game works. Once the mini-game is fully completed, the next episode features Stampy and his current helpers, have a tournament to see who will be the champion. From the outside is a large sign that says "Stampys Funland" that was built in the episode, "A Bad Sign", and a colourful tunnel which houses the former Minecart Track. Stampy has a series called Stampy's Funland in which he revisits and plays (working) mini-games.

Access[]

It can be accessed from Stampy's House via either the Tree Train, that connects from his house to the Funland easily, or the Teleporter inside Stampy's Secret Base, which also has few Teleporters in the Funland. Stampy also wished a few times to extend the Tree Train further inside the Funland, but he hasn't done so, probably because now the teleporters do what he wanted the extended tree train to do.

History[]

After the introduction of a crazy golf course , that was first introduced in "Crazy Golf Course" that was developed and completed by "Lovely Day For Golf", the concept of Stampy's Funland was first mentioned in "Extending The Farm", where he would intend to create a theme park containing rides, with a clear emphasis on the concept of the Creeper Coaster. Stampy eventually began this concept by "A Bad Sign" by filling in a lake with his helpers and setting up a sign to signify the location's importance in order to prepare to evolve from the base concept of the crazy golf course, which he did, first building the Creeper Coaster in "The Friendly Creeper".

Eventually, however, by "Slumber Party", the construction of Shear Fun, and onward, Stampy began to use the land for Stampy's Funland as a hub for mini-games instead, justifying this shift in concept in that a mini-game has a replay value while a ride does not, and since then, he has been frequently adding in mini-games, rarely including rides after that point. Due to considering that building his attractions on the same ground level, such being the water level of his world, is monotonous for his viewers to watch, Stampy decided to add raised land on the edges of the main land he had built on by that point in "Stone Maker" when building Brick Breaker in order to apply it to the rest of the attractions, he would plan to build. By "Taking Flight", Stampy's Funland eventually reached 100 total attractions with the construction of Swoop!.

Hit The Target's Funland[]

Following the tournament of Rock, Paper, Shears, in "Impossible Choice" Stampy exchanged the land of Stampy's Funland with Hit The Target and Veeva Dash, the alternative being to exchange the entire world, in order for Barnaby to be healed of the poison that they had given him in "Ten Years Later...". Due to this, Stampy was unable to enter the area until further notice. In "Hit The Target's Funland", it was shown that the sign positioned near the entrance to the location, it rewritten by both of them, instead saying "HTT'S FUNLAND" rather than "STAMPYS FUNLAND", as well as them having erected a nether brick-deepslate slab fence bordering the present mini-games within the area. To counter this limitation, Stampy instead decided to improvise mini-games through his town and build just outside of the border following "Pier" and "The New Funland?". In "Yoink", Stampy discovered an attempt to copy his own Yoink mini-game dubbed "Racing Chest Boats", created by Hit The Target and Veeva Dash, and he suspected it to be created for the two of them to further the land that they had taken from Stampy himself by the use of their own contents, though he was unsure himself as to what the true motive for the creation of it was. He instead concluded that the two of them simply wanted Stampy's Funland and the land was their true desire, deciding that both parties could leave each other alone due to having what they wanted to an equal degree. In "Hit The Target Style", Stampy decided to challenge Hit The Target's procedure of copying Stampy's mini-games in his personal style by building one of a similar style within his ownership. Instead of attacking Stampy due to internal conflict, Hit The Target instead altered his style to use nether brick instead of red and black wool, to his interest, showing that he had an ulterior motive for copying Stampy's mini-games.

By the events of "They're Back!", Stampy determined that, in reality, they had no ulterior motives and simply wanted to create mini-games of their own, but, in Stampy's personal opinion, had better choices for style regarding the designs, though they were adapting from Stampy's pre-existing ideas. Seeing them play Building Bridges and Knock Out incorrectly, using scaffolding in both, and then disappearing abruptly, Stampy instead decided that he should desperately return the area to his possession so he could access it again and play the mini-games built as they were intended to be, though without endangering Barnaby again in the process. Following the tournament of Slam!, Stampy would proceed with this plan, though somewhat reluctantly. In "Moving House", Stampy decided to move the most used areas of his house into Hit The Target's fortress in order to pose a trade that allowed him to return Stampy's Funland back to him non-lethally after having it taken from him in "Impossible Choice". This plan had worked, as Stampy had regained ownership in "Christmas Truce?" due to Hit The Target accepting the offer, since he had no home to live in during Christmas Day. However, this was not without adversity, as Hit The Target immediately fought back with arrows and his charged creepers, prompted by Veeva Dash throwing a harming potion, in vengeance of Stampy taking over his fortress, driving him and his dogs out of the area and back to the main area of his world. As he rejoiced, he announced that he would claim Hit The Target's mini-games as his own, adding them to the ones already present, as well as take advantage of the fence that was built around the area and add a legitimate entrance.

After the conditions acquired following regaining ownership, Stampy decided to test all four of Hit The Target and Veeva Dash's mini-games for their collectively quality, beginning with the one inspired by his own "Yoink" mini-game, built immediately following their takeover, in chronological order. He concluded that Hit The Target's mini-games were acceptable by Stampy's standards, and, if permitted, he could build mini-games with him at any time, before returning to his daily life.

Returning the Funland[]

Following the return of the ownership of the area, Stampy would return to his building routines, but would keep the fence that Hit The Target set up, and would instead expand it whenever he added a new area. Additionally, by "Fancy Cat", Stampy would add an official entrance to the area, which would allow guests to be taken to a platform that would allow them to gaze over the Funland before dropping down to the surface.

In "Final Mini-game", Stampy would add the final mini-game to Stampy's Funland, which would be a sequel to 2013's Flower Power.

Other Structures[]

  • The big Funland sign is located on the hill just past Town and in-front of the Fancy Circle Park. After "Hit The Target's Funland", the sign was rewritten by Hit The Target and Veeva Dash to read "HTT's FUNLAND".
  • There is a large colourful tunnel underneath the sign made of red, lime, and magenta stained glass, illuminated with sea lanterns, and with a Nether portal at the end. It replaced the older, smaller, and narrower tunnel of a similar design that used to be the tunnel for the former Minecart Track before the entire system was removed in favour of the Tree Train.
  • The Funland House is located in a hill near the Golf Course where Stampy and his friends can sleep without going back to his house when constructing minigames overnight. This was no longer needed when the Funland grew so big that it was easier just to put down some beds.
    • Additionally, Agatha the Creeper's grave is just in-front of the entrance.
  • There are also dog graves around the Funland, specifically the ones for Arrow, Cedric, Tikka, Oreo and Aqua.
  • The first Lovely Jubbley Love Love Petal flower was also planted beside Road Hog. It stood there for many years before Stampy brought it to the Lovely World Museum.
  • There is also a community board listing all the upcoming builds, but is currently unused.
  • Squid's house was also located within the Funland, but it was removed.
  • Longbow currently has 2 houses located under and inside the Funland, one underneath The Ding Dong Game and another one underneath Bury Berry.
  • A birch house was built behind the Mole Hole game where AmyLee33 rested there when she slept due to exhaustion. This was later destroyed for an unknown reason.
  • There are also random stuff built by Fizzy Elephant:
    • A mooshroom riding on a minecart in circles
    • A cookie dispenser
    • A treehouse which was used as a "viewing area" for Racestone
    • The "Cookie Garden", his parody of the Love Garden. The centrepiece of the garden, a giant cookie, was later brought to the Lovely World Museum.
  • There are three Teleporters located in the Funland, although some of them have been moved several times to make it more accessible to the mini-game they're building or playing.

Top 10's[]

Stampy has made Top 10 videos to rank his favorites in his Funland. For all the Top 10's he had made that involve the Funland mini-games, check this page.

Series[]

Main article: Stampy's Funland (series)

The Funland is the main setting of the spin-off series of Stampy's Lovely World where Stampy and his guests play the existing (working) mini-games in each episode.

Trivia[]

  • Stampy's Funland is the largest location in Stampy's Lovely World, amassing to over 100 constructs with 30-block diameters and heights on average.
  • A majority of Stampy's mini-games that use peculiar mechanics or mechanics manipulating normal events within Minecraft into a peculiar style, as well as most from previous versions in general, repeatedly end up breaking, reducing the count for active mini-games from the present count.
  • Finnball and his wife went to the Funland for their honeymoon.
  • AmyLee33's first Let's Play video (and the second video on her channel overall) is shot here.
  • Three YouTubers DannyIsDahBomb, LazayKai (Formerly XRedstoneTechX and TeknicallyJosh), and Darman68 have tutorials on how to make some of the games.
  • The Funland started out and was initially intended to be a "theme park", but after Stampy realised that mini-games were better to build than rides (since they could be played over and over, while rides can only be ridden once before they become boring), it became a hub for mini-games. This explains why some of his earliest mini-games and attractions that he built have queue lines.
  • Ever since the first battle in "Unexpected Drama", Hit The Target has never directly attacked within Stampy's Funland itself. The only occasion in which someone affiliated with Hit The Target has ever been physically present within Stampy's Funland, while blatantly intending to attack Stampy, is Veeva Dash during the events of "Space Berries", "Bury Berry 2", "Chicken Twins", "Pesky Perry", and "Chicken Trail".
    • There is an exception to this in the form of the episodes "Hit The Target's Funland" to "Christmas Truce?", in which the duo actually remain within Stampy's Funland unquestionably. However, they do not attack Stampy himself within the confines of the area during the events between these episodes.
