"I think this will look okay, like, it doesn't need to look amazing, it just needs to look... like Japanese-style, just so it makes more... uh, sense with the, uh, the sushi restaurant."
— Stampy explaining his general motive for adding a Japanese-style garden to Water Rush.

"Japanese Garden" is the 134th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and his helpers add a pool of water to the front of the main platforming arena of, as well as a Japanese-style garden to Water Rush.

Plot[]

Ni no Kuni note block tuni & the plan to build a Japanese-style garden for Water Rush[]

Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x as part of his hand and bow stick through his traditional painting, allowing him to enter through. He calls L for Leeeee x out for holding his bow out at him, now holding out his sword, which Stampy claims terrifies him in context of the situation. L for Leeeee x decides to switch over to the cake he intended to give Stampy, of which Stampy is then given by L for Leeeee x, allowing him to eat it. As an ironic situation, Stampy offers the concept of reverse roles where Stampy instead enters into L for Leeeee x's room above to give him a cake as thanks. Entering through the left door of his bedroom, Stampy recalls FinnBa11 to also be one of his helpers, telling his viewers to bow due to him taking entry. He greets him and welcomes him to the video, asking him how he is doing, which he responds to by jumping up and down repeatedly, finding him to be enthusiastic as he will spend time building.

Before explaining the concept of what will be built, however, Stampy firstly has to visit his Love Garden to give a shoutout to "WeeWeeGaming", who sent him a video of a note block cover of the Ni No Kuni theme a fortnight ago, for him to celebrate receiving 400,000 subscribers, considering the video to be amazing, thanking him and welcoming him to the Love Garden. As he turns around, Stampy sees FinnBa11 positioned within the Love Garden heart model, which he finds to be entertaining, continuing that there will also be a link in the description to the video in question in the event of his viewers wanting to see it for themselves. Additionally, WeeWeeGaming has offered to build a note block song for Stampy in his world, though unsure as to what in particular, intending to potentially add one for the circus as circus music, intending to add one in the future and hoping he teaches him on how to do so.

At the doghouse, Stampy offers L for Leeeeee x to pick the dog for him, and he decides to choose Duncan, whom he characterises as having a "crooked neck", and is about to leave the doghouse with him only to encounter FinnBa11 having switched to a different skin, to his surprise, telling him that his ears are poking through the helmet. After, he leaves the doghouse, explaining that he will finished Water Rush, which he hasn't yet finished, having completed the entirety of the redstone mechanism, and will instead try to build a Japanese-style garden of some form, in front of the sushi restaurant nearby, as well as a giant pool of water forefront of the main obstacle course so that players don't simply fall down onto hard ground in the event of falling off, due to health and safety saying his rides are dangerous, intending to also complete it in order to have the first game of Water Rush.

The redstone of & adding a water pit to Water Rush[]

Having arrived at Stampy's Funland, Stampy proceeds to explain his basic plan in that he will firstly show the redstone, affirming that the redstone is simple despite it looking complicated at first, assuring that his viewers can replicate it if they want to, generally planning to show off what he has done himself and how he has done it in case people want to copy it outright or build something inspired by it, as he is building in Minecraft. After climbing on top of the finished sushi restaurant, Stampy shows the finished overall product as it is, realising he should've shown the restaurant from the outside first instead. As demonstration, Stampy explains that a shark will sit on the chair with other players down below playing as dolphins, offering his helpers to demonstrate, pressing the green button on the left to show water dispensers on the first layer, of which can be manipulated to drop players into the water, which he succeeds at upon catching FinnBa11. With the second button, the second row enables pistons to extend, allowing him to knock L for Leeeee x off of the structure, and then FinnBa11 again, finding simply playing around to be fun. On his attempt to knock off L for Leeeee x again, Stampy misses, which is due to a delay that increases difficulty. With the third and final button, arrows are fired out from the top dispensers, of which L for Leeeee x is nearly hit by. With L for Leeeee x reaching the end, Stampy tells him to pull the lever as demonstration to drop the shark into the sushi restaurant, summarising the basic game concept.

With him having summarised it, the final priority of the mini-game is to add a pool of water, and then decorate the general area with some form of queue. Firstly, Stampy shows the redstone, breaking behind the corridor in the sushi restaurant to show the area behind, revealing how Stampy meant it to be complicated from the exterior, assuring that the redstone is simple. To simplify it, Stampy proceeds to explain the redstone in that the three buttons above descend down via a redstone trail, and to compact it, torches on the sides of blocks with redstone on top can be used as a manner of guiding the redstone, though he recommends simply adding in redstone normally. In his case, his main aim was to compact it. Additionally, Stampy had colour-coded the redstone so that each redstone trail can be differentiated between rather than mixing between each redstone trail.

The redstone from the buttons leads all the way down underground, and the pink redstone trail in the sushi restaurant is intended to lead to the chair above so that the shark can be dunked via a piston system. Leading himself down underneath via ladder, Stampy shows the redstone having led itself all the way down underground, with it noticeably traveling deeply down due to the presence of water just above that would continually remove his redstone. The redstone signal carries over a distance with repeaters being added to repeat the signal, which eventually leads to the ending point leading upwards, which is further shown by the area inside of the main platforming structure itself. The redstone sends a signal up to the dispensers and pistons, and the water dispensers contain a simple water bucket, and the second row features pistons simply knocking each player off, a sight which he finds to be entertaining, the top row also featuring dispensers to fire arrows, with the pink redstone trail on the side finally leading from the lever and back into the sushi restaurant.

After illustrating the workings of the redstone, Stampy sees L for Leeeee x having written a sign on the top row, climbing up to find it reading "Lee did all this!!!" Stampy sternly asks him if he actually did it himself, which he responds to by rapidly shaking his head, Stampy clarifying that he likes working with L for Leeeee x on redstone as he climbs back down from the nerdpole. Stampy once again assures his viewers that the redstone is simple, and then moves on to finish off Water Rush, running back outside. Stampy sees FinnBa11 having already dug away at the ground for the pit, which is somewhat difficult due to the presence of a lake underneath as previously stated, which Stampy clarifies as not making the creation of the water pit itself easier. Stampy explains the basic plan in that he will add a blue outline and then dig down, advising his viewers on how to make a pool of water by creating a roof and adding water on top of it, as the water remains in the same position. Stampy decides he should dig the water down by at least three blocks to prevent people from getting hurt, noting the water already present causing inconvenience, though he believes it can be manipulated. With the blue border of the pit outlined, Stampy attempts to then add blue in the area behind as to surround the entirety of the pit underneath with water, only to end up accidentally releasing the water into the area down underneath, giving context as to the process he repeated outside of the video when creating the redstone. Stampy decides he should add the water pit first, and then fix the redstone during the first testing stage.

The gravel path and pond of the Japanese-style garden for Water Rush[]

While his helpers continue to create the water pit, Stampy starts to start the Japanese-style garden, though not before showing the exterior of the sushi restaurant after leaving open a hole within it, explaining the basic changes made to it as adding the roof, which is designed around the first layers, offering his viewers to try the same style as him, though his viewers can try their own due to his methods of working out style. Stampy then proceeds to start with the Japanese garden itself, planning to first add a path into the mini-game leading from the main path, starting it four blocks to the left of the edge of the entrance of Raindrops, intending to add a pond surrounded by sugar cane with lily pads, and then add cherry blossom trees, which are those that include pink flowers, of which can be seen encountering anything related to Japan, offering those who live in Japan as his viewers to inform him of a more authentic design for a sushi restaurant, unlike his personal idea.

Starting to add the gravel path down, Stampy judges the design by alternating between gravel over lengths of dirt to form stepping stones of some form, deciding on a pattern of two dirt-one gravel, then surrounding the area with cherry blossom trees. Said cherry blossom trees will be designed with pink wool as he won't use real trees, adding tree trunks with oak wood, and then a fake set of branches on top, a design of which he has seen in other peoples' worlds, where he received the idea from. Stampy starts to add a miniature pond to the left of the sushi restaurant, of which does not need to be as deep as the pit in front of the main obstacle course, designing it with some form of 'splodge' shape around the general area, additional considering stepping stones or otherwise a miniature bridge, as he prefers the mini-game to generally be in the style of its intended theme regardless of if the sushi restaurant lacks function.

Digging away at the floor for the lake, Stampy finds some iron ore, which he considers using to create replacement boots, and then encounters a zombie following around him, reminding him of when he first bought Minecraft in that he would run upon the sight of seeing a zombie, now being apathetic to the circumstances, of which is proceeded by Duncan killing the zombie himself due to attacking Stampy, adding that zombies aren't as bad as they seem upon first glance. However, in the case of creepers, Stampy still shows fear of them and dashes away. Continuing to build the pond by digging away at the floor, due to intending for it to not be excessively deep, he will remove the stone on the first layer down to replace it with dirt, of which he does tediously what with Duncan standing around by him, thinking himself to be unfair on the other dogs as he usually decides at the last minute and repeatedly takes the same dogs with him over and over again. Stampy recalls a point where he had taken all of his dogs with him, which would've greatly inconvenienced him while he is building a structure like Water Rush, which he considers to be the reason for their repeated deaths prior due to the difficulty of controlling multiple dogs, though one dog is difficult enough.

With the pond being set up, Stampy creates an infinite water source to fill in the pond Stampy himself is creating and the pool his helpers are creating, afterwards creating some cherry blossom trees to have the first test of Water Rush, or, as he has revealed only now, 'what a rush', due a bad pun he had come up with for the name. Stampy fills in his pond, remarking that it actually appears as a 'splodge', believing himself to be able to fix it upon gathering some sugar cane and lily pads. Gathering more water, he further fills in the pond as he clarifies that what he is building doesn't need to look 'amazing', per se, but rather simply Japanese-style to make more sense with the sushi restaurant theme itself, with cherry blossoms on the side of the queue leading in. Stampy wonders to himself what he could add after, considering a Japanese flag as a possibility, thinking he should make the Japanese elements more subtle.

Building some cherry blossom trees of a Japanese-style garden for Water Rush[]

As he finishes filling in the water for the pond, Stampy compares the progress he himself has made to his helpers, with his helpers creating the entire pool while Stampy himself as only created the miniature pond, and he starts to build cherry blossom trees. Stampy positions the first one close right of the sushi restaurant, deciding to build the first one by a tree trunk of five blocks high with a point on top, adding blocks to each side bar the corner and adding a square to the layer underneath, considering the design to be "alright" and authentic. Stampy tn plans to add a cherry blossom tree in the angular point between the entrance to Raindrops and Water Rush, only to find a sign reading "iron?", unsure as to who it is sourced from, allowing those who want iron to have it, finding that FinnBa11 wanted it to craft extra buckets.

Stampy then starts to build the second cherry blossom tree in the same design, though he considers possibly adding differences due to trees being of various designs. Seeing the trees he is building, Stampy wishes that ones in the real world were as pretty. He accepts trees as they are, instead wishing for multiple colours since every plant-related organism is green, wishing there to be blue and yellow trees. Then, he receives a death message about FinnBa11 having drowned, to his regret and wonder, hoping for him to be able to return back to Water Rush for the test, using it to refer back to his joke about health and safety, commenting on the irony of building a pool to make the mini-game safer only for people to drown in it anyway, hoping for him to be able to return quickly enough in order to play the mini-game, as he has nearly completed Water Rush as it is, though he may need to add various more cherry blossom trees around the area, and will have to check the redstone.

Surrounding the pond he had created, Stampy adds sugar cane and plans to add some lily pads inside, and then sees the path he had designed, thinking it would look better as completely gravel, wondering it should be thicker, though he thinks the true reason to be that the land is half sand and half dirt, meaning he will have to remove the sand and replace it with grass, considering to add fences, as he also needs to additional queues for the shark and the dolphins, as well as hoping that his viewers understand the general concept of what Water Rush will finally appear as. With the path as it is complete, Stampy decides he should build one final cherry blossom tree before returning down to check the redstone's status, and sees FinnBa11 having returned only to be shot by a skeleton from behind, which Stampy promptly is. Reminded by use of his current sword, Stampy notes that he has no idea where the enchanted sword that L for Leeeee x had given him went to, which he apologises to him for, as he started an episode some days before to find that a sword he was holding onto wasn't his own due to the one he was holding not being enchanted. Due to him dying regularly, Stampy never manages to reach a high experience level, meaning he can rarely enchant them, hoping to receive another enchanted sword.

Fixing the redstone for Water Rush & the final test[]

As Stampy completes what he can of the final cherry blossom tree, he comments on the general typicality due to running out of pink wool on the second to last block to finish it, only to find some extra in the supplies chest to do just that. Stampy sees L for Leeeee x writing a sign, assuring him that he will read it eventually, firstly needing to travel downstairs to check the damage of the redstone. Traveling down, Stampy sees a flow of water destroying redstone as it is, as well as it spreading over, all to his dismay. He finds a sign reading "think this is o k?", responding to it with a stern disagreement and telling his helpers to not break any of the blocks above. With the water only seeping through into the area underneath, Stampy tells FinnBa11 to leave the water alone as it is to fix the redstone to play a test of the mini-game fix the pool later.

With the damages in mind, Stampy judges how to fix it in whatever possible manner, determining that it can be saved. He links up each signal as intended, leaving behind two repeaters that he has to replace to extend to signals, as well as one piece of redstone that he uses for the system to dunk the shark, and then enacts a test for the redstone, telling his helpers to dress up as dolphins while he himself dresses as a shark, and on his way over, sees the sign written by L for Leeeee x reading "i will make u 1 ;)" in reference to the enchanted diamond sword, offering him to make it the Christmas present in exchange for a cake. Switching to the shark skin in Battle & Beasts 2, Stampy proposes he starts as a shark so that his helpers can switch on the second round, blocking up an infinite water source as he hopes the redstone works during his trek into the sushi restaurant.

Approaching the sushi restaurant, Stampy tells L for Leeeeee x to pull the lever at the end of the mini-game to reset the chair to as it was, checking the redstone via buttons in advance before starting the mini-game as well as considering replacing the fence gates in front with fences due to fence gates being triggered by buttons all of the time. With the redstone not working for the chair for the shark, Stampy realises that he should verify if the lever works, jumping down from the sushi restaurant to investigate the cause, wondering if there is some form of gap, commenting on the inconvenience of building with water in the area. He finds the area that the redstone leads down to ends at an unfinished trail, asking L for Leeeee x if he possesses any redstone. He finds a supplies chest filled with redstone, which he uses to replace the redstone where it is seemingly missing. Afterwards, to test it, Stampy then leaves in order to nerdpole up to the lever and test it, as the game can be played in its current form, and upon testing it, Stampy finds the lever works as planned.

With the lever working, Stampy tells his helpers to order themselves and start where they need to, remaining the same area until he gives them the starting command, the general rule being that the first person pulling the lever wins, with those who are knocked off of the game requiring a restart from the route, eventually reaching the top as he expresses his general goal to knock either of the players off of the platforms, which is actually a difficult task to accomplish. Stampy proceeds to sit on the chair, announcing the first test game of Water Rush, and then gives a countdown for his helpers, setting off the mini-game.

Stampy catches L for Leeeee x in the water dispensers, though they do not affect L for Leeeee x as he manages to exceed past them with FinnBa11 eventually managing to be delayed, requiring him to restart. L for Leeeee x reaches the second layer, Stampy failing to delay him on the second layer. L for Leeeeee x eventually reaches the third and final layer before being pushed by arrow dispensers, allowing FinnBa11 to then exceed past and win himself, Stampy leaving from the sushi restaurant after dunking down as he informs FinnBa11 to reset the lever to its initial state. Afterwards, Stampy tells L for Leeeee x to be the shark, reversing their roles, requiring him to change his skin, deciding to be a walrus than a dolphin, seeing it in the third-person perspective. Stampy tells himself and FinnBa11 to start at the edge of the rainbow of Raindrops, causing him to realise he needs a formal starting mechanism, and Stampy counts the second round down, though not before eating something.

After the game starts on the second test round, Stampy nearly catches himself on the water in the first row, followed by FinnBa11, who he tells not to attack the other players. On the second row, he then effortlessly dashes past and up onto the third and final row, seeing FinnBa11 get knocked by the pistons as he rises up. On the third and final row, Stampy narrowly avoids getting attacked by an arrow before inevitably reaching the end, allowing him to dunk L for Leeeee x in, noticing him waving at him. Ending the second test round, Stampy tells FinnBa11 to play as the shark, telling him to enter the sushi restaurant in front, which he decides to reach via jumping into the wide front pool below, Stampy following on behind, finding it entertaining to be in the pool. For the third test round, Stampy decides to switch to a narwhal, seeing L for Leeeeee x additionally being Super Meat Boy, which he calls out is completely unrelated to being a dolphin let alone general aquatic life, though he accepts it anyway. With FinnBa11 at the top of the sushi restaurant, Stampy gives him directions as to which button triggers which, and then sees L for Leeeee x instead having turned to a toad skin, which he sees as a cheetah, then giving a countdown to the third and final test round.

Stampy manages to exceed past the first row with L for Leeeeee x getting himself stuck on the water flow, and then reaches the lever quickly due to FinnBa11 misunderstanding that the buttons have to be pressed earlier, allowing him to win. He remarks it to be fun to be dunked into the sushi restaurant, and that he loves the mini-game, deciding to carry on building the garden so he can return with large selection of players for another experience, which he considers to be amazing. Stampy then apologises for the length of the episode, hoping his viewers enjoyed it and that he had fun creating it, thanking his helpers for helping and creating the water, stating that there will be a link in the description to the next episode in the description, and then ends the episode with the line "So I wanna thank you all very much for watching, and hopefully, I'll see you in the next episode. Byeeeee!"
