"The good thing is, uh, once we've built the first few rooms... uh, whenever we need to sleep, we can just book into one of the rooms and have a quick nap immediately there, it's gonna be very useful." |
— Stampy pointing out the practical use of the Hotel Of Dreams. |
"Luxury Lobby" is the 248th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and L for Leeeee x begin building a hotel dubbed the "Hotel Of Dreams".
Plot[]
Stampy is a doll weaved with loom bands[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x with a cheer. He requests L for Leeeee x to pretend to be a rock if he is feeling good, which he does by crouching and looking down, after which he requests that he is given a cake. However, he realises that he isn't hungry and decides that they should instead do brunch, and decides to immediately move onto the next sequence concerning the lack of a balcony mini-game. Stampy remarks that he approves of immediately committing to the main episodes, though he appreciates the mini-games, visiting his Love Garden to give a shoutout to "Holly" for a loom band doll she made with her mum, considering it fantastic and wondering how people create loom band models at all. He adds that she also wrote a song themed to him and decides to link it in the video description.
Moving onto the doghouse, Stampy explains that he is going to be building something "big", adding in the equation of being "lighthouse" big, "rocket ship" big, and "theatre" big, being eager to specify what it really is through visuals, and once entering the doghouse, he decides to take Bengy with him. He offers Bengy to look directly at him, but to his disapproval, he finds him looking at L for Leeeee x instead as he is holding a porkchop, only for him to avert L for Leeeee x anyway and look at Stampy.
Outlining the base & filling in the lobby floor for the Hotel of Dreams[]
Leaving the doghouse, Stampy finds his dogs only wanting him for the porkchop feeding and adds in his own hypocrisy regarding this, stating that he wants L for Leeeee x for the cake. He tries to retract this statement in desperation and tells him that he likes his assistance in building and that they have fun together, stating that he specifically likes his cakes. Moving into the town, Stampy explains in a dramatic voice that he is building the Hotel Of Dreams, intending for it to be the most "luxurious and amazing" hotel, guaranteed, planning to build a structure out of glass and glowstone with a statue based around a firework on top, as well as having seven themed rooms. Stampy thinks that he is going to be taken as exaggerating and assures that he is making an extravagant build as stated.
Between the Cool School and Loose Tooth, Stampy and L for Leeeeee x begin building, stating the main materials will be white wool and glass to make it appear 'clean' in the context of a high-class hotel. To begin, he builds a strip of 11 blocks and adds a diagonal of three on one of the sides, then building one block further out and building the next strip of 11 blocks, adding that he is explicating the dimensions in order for viewers to build the same design for themselves However, when trying to connect from the back to the left when facing the front, Stampy finds there to be a misalignment and clarifies the dimensions, finding the front strip is indeed 11 blocks and the issue stems from there being a diagonal connection of two blocks than three, which he corrects.
The main outline complete, L for Leeeee x begins building the walls up to a maximum of three blocks, Stampy commenting that the shape is going to be 'really cool', as there is going to be a gap in the middle of the hotel for a pillar to pierce through and allow a feature to be present at the top of said pillar. Stampy decides to assist L for Leeeee x in building the walls of the first floor upwards so that the main lobby can be built, which he describes as being white since the interior will also use nether quartz. Due to the walls being built up, Stampy offers a round of spontaneous spleef with a best of three, explaining spontaneous spleef to be spleef played anywhere, the last contestant standing being the winner. Giving a countdown from three, the round begins, and after he states that he likes spontaneous spleef because of how useful it is, he ends up jumping down underground and eliminating himself, allowing L for Leeeee x to win the first round, L for Leeeee x winning if Stampy is eliminated again. In the second round, Stampy wins as L for Leeeee x is tricked into jumping down, allowing a third round to be played. Stampy manages to win overall as L for Leeeee x once again jumps down promptly due to failing a jump. With the floor having been broken in the process, Stampy explains that the floor will be white wool, adding that the lobby will feature a water elevator to condense space as well as to make it more fun switching between floors, with the elevator also being glass to give a clear view of the hotel while rising, considering that the elevator will look fancy.
Having destroyed the floor, Stampy offers L for Leeeeee x to assist in filling in the floor with white wool at a rapid pace in order for them to decorate the area, intending to add in a reception area at the back area of the lobby made up of two counters to retrieve keys. The keys will be set up with blocks of wool with individual colours and a lever in an item frame. He notes that the levers will open all doors to each room anyway, deciding to ignore this in favour of playing pretend. Stampy then repeats the virtue of the structure in the middle of the room, intending for a glowstone structure taller than the highest room to be included, he and L for Leeeeee x having spent time in the Nether gathering glowstone, finding there to be a benefit in playing on console edition in that the Nether can be reset, allowing an infinite supply of resources. Stampy realises the structure is not living up to the standards of height in present time and specifies that it will look taller in future, intending for five floors and a penthouse, considering the penthouse to be the most acclaimed room in the hotel, as well as stating that he is going to stay in it, the penthouse also including a large collection of cakes.
Detailing the lobby while beginning the second floor for the Hotel of Dreams[]
Filling in the lobby floor as L for Leeeeee x begins to line the structure's connecting points with glowstone, Stampy crafts a set of beds in order to roll over the night cycle, noting the efficiency of the hotel in that he and his helpers will be able to sleep with ease when the rooms are eventually added. Stampy specifies that guests are also able to use the hotel since he has a guest room of low quality. Rolling over to day and continuing to build the lobby, Stampy decides to firstly build the main reception area itself, firstly dragging a dividing line across the area, and then adding in windows of three blocks wide and evening out the lengths within the reception area, stating that he should set up an employee of the month mini-game due to having not done so for some time. Stampy then adds a door in the middle of the reception area.
As L for Leeeee x also builds the windows for the second floor of the hotel, Stampy crafts a crafting table to craft an iron door and retrieves yellow, red, purple, blue, lime, pink and orange wool to represent each room via the blocks of wool behind the counter, making sure to place each colour in the order that he initially listed them in, and then proceeds to place item frames on the wall atop the wool, as well as positioning levers within each of the item frames. Stampy realises that the door for the reception can't be opened and decides to use a pressure plate as an exit and a button as an entry. Upon building the main reception area besides the ceiling, Stampy finds that L for Leeeee x has built the base for the second floor along with the floor surfaces for both the second and third floors, to his surprise, after which Stampy walks out to the front of the building to demonstrate the general appearance, offering his viewers to imagine the appearance of the structure once complete.
Continuing with the lobby, Stampy proceeds with the water elevator, building it on the third block in and making it 7x3 with a three-block wide opening, correcting its positioning and making it 5x3 with a one-block wide opening. When beginning to build the elevator, Stampy clarifies that the structure will follow directly to the top, filling in the interior area of the back with glass from the bottom block to fill the intention of the hotel being visible from the elevator. Stampy notes that the water will make a guest soggy due to using water as transportation, dismissing the issue anyway as it's a better experience than using a staircase. Stampy decides to cut the elevator off at the first floor, deciding to template the elevator itself by doing so.
Stampy begins to fill in the floor of the first floor as he explains that there will be two rooms per each floor, intending for there to be enough space to decorate and theme them, intending for there to be an animals-themed room dubbed "Amazing Animals" and a room that Stampy expects L for Leeeeee x to stay in frequently dubbed the "Food Fantasy" room, which will feature a kitchen and various foods. Stampy continues raising the elevator, though with the interference of the above floor, lining the back of it with glass and filling in the sides with white wool, then opening up the vacant hole for the elevator itself and adding in a door. Before adding the water to the water elevator, Stampy gathers signs to arrange the water for it to permit breathing since they can be used to block water out, a method he has used himself before. After crafting said signs, Stampy arranges them to alternate from the second block up, the middle facing forward and the sides facing in.
Returning outside, Stampy stands Bengy up out of sympathy and immediately reconsiders due to passive animals and irresponsible behaviour around water, only to realise that he has to get animals into the hotel anyway due to the Amazing Animals room, considering it "fun" in an uncertain tone as Bengy proceeds to jump into the water of the ocean that he is gathering from for the water elevator, immediately leading him out and warning him to not travel underneath ice while underwater. Stampy returns into the hotel and fills in the water as he informs L for Leeeee x to fill in the ceiling of the lobby aside from the intended hole in the middle of the hotel, firstly adding a pressure plate to the entrance of the water elevator. Stampy considers the possibility of an unveiling in regards to his hotel, pointing out why he is calling it the "Hotel of Dreams" in the process in that it is a hotel containing guests' dreams, referring to the fact that people dream when they sleep, and the hotel is supposed to be a dream hotel.
Stampy fills the water elevator with water elevator, the water being contained within the elevator due to the pressure plate, and he returns outside to resupply himself as he watches Bengy attempt to climb up the makeshift staircase built by L for Leeeeee x, telling him to use the water elevator to enter the hotel instead, contradicting his prior warning about animals and water. As L for Leeeeee x removes said makeshift staircase, Stampy ends up being attacked, causing Bengy to attack him, requiring Stampy to sit him down, taking responsibility himself for having caused it to happen. Stampy fills in the remaining pockets of water in the water elevator, crafting another pressure plate to contain the water on the second floor.
Having filled in some necessary details for the water elevator, Stampy begins to work on the open middle area of the hotel overall. Upon doing so, he carves the middle opening of the hotel into that of a circle in a 2-3 pattern, of which will be copied per each floor so the sky is visible. Stampy points out a practical issue of this in that rain is free to fall through, deciding to follow along with this anyway due to the absence of rainfall. He also begins to build the pillar intended to be in the point-blank middle, a simple plus sign, of which will extend through the open middle to the top, arranging glowstone to align with the level of the floor. Having begun the pillar, Stampy also crafts some nether quartz into slabs and uses it to craft a duo of sofas along with a table, and then adds glowstone into the corners of the lobby, stating that he intends for there to be no torches present within the hotel. Stampy then declares the beginning of the hotel complete, having added the lobby and water elevator while L for Leeeeee x has added the above floors for the main rooms, deciding to build the first rooms in the hotel in the next episode before ending the episode with the line "But for now, we have just about run out of time in this episode, so I wanna thank you all very much for watching, and I will see you all later. Byeeeeeee!"
