"I'm just gonna give the guys a go-ahead... and the way I give them a go-ahead, is jump... about eight times, crouch three times, and then spin in a circle. That is the go-ahead for them, that they're allowed to start building... We didn't... really plan that, I was just playing around."
— Stampy joking about the method of signalling Crimson Azoth and iHaloZone to start working on the kitchen.

"Making A House A Home" is the 27th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy shows the grave he added for Porky, his new tree farm, his finished mushroom farm, progress on his theatre lobby, builds a living room and kitchen, and then allows his theatre to be further built forward by blowing up a mountain.

Plot[]

A grave for Porky, a tree farm, a mushroom farm, digging the land for the theatre & shoutouts[]

Stampy opens the episode inside of his bedroom, having returned from his split-screen play of his and Melanie Candy's world as well Crimsville, announcing that he is joined by Crimson Azoth, whom has been a rare appearance since recent episodes, and iHaloZone, who founded the channel "Halo Zone", a Halo community channel where Stampy uploads his Halo videos to that he plans to link in the video description, visiting underneath his storage area to pop back up in the area behind the entrance along the way to give updates.

Stampy gives context to an update he gave to Porky's death in his slime farm where he died in the previous episode by visiting it, having created a grave themed to him using pink wool as well as the Pigscene painting nearby. He sees iHaloZone mourning him in his grave, and Crimson Azoth throwing a porkchop onto his grave. Climbing back up to the surface, Stampy states that he has no idea how Porky died, as he jumped down into the slime farm and the dog wasn't following him, so he had to put a grave down in the slime farm itself, which will also serve as a reminder as to Porky's death every time he visits it. Stampy also says that slimes have spawned less often since Porky's death, and he speculates that Porky's ghost is haunting the slimes. Though he also adds that slimes refrain from appearing when he starts recording a video, thinking them to simply be camera shy.

Stampy moves onto his next update, which is a tree farm, an efficient method of gathering trees, walking up to his main farm by the stairs and walking to the end, showing there to be a structure consisting of two rings of oak trees above water across from his crafting room, and it functions by dropping down saplings into the water above, with a limiter at the top of the trees to prevent them from growing too tall. Additionally, there are torches surrounding the platforms to grow the trees throughout the night, though he also recommends simply using bonemeal. Stampy explains why he uses oak trees rather than any other type of tree, stating his presumed names for other types of trees he knows of to not use for said farm. Stampy explains that the saplings dropped via chopping down the tree allows the saplings to drop down into the water and into a compartment behind the tree where the water flow stops. Reaching the water flow itself, Stampy confesses that he didn't design the tree farm himself, and will leave a link to a video below for the tutorial he watched to create it, though he doesn't recall the name. Stampy demonstrates the amount of saplings that can be gained by showing a chest filled with them, and then moves onto his mushroom farm.

Stampy walks down to his mushroom farm, which can be considered a more minor update, explaining that he now added a roof above it to urge the mushrooms to grow, and, misnaming a mushroom as a torch due to name-based confusion, Stampy also explains that mushrooms can be next to torches, though the mushrooms still have to be inside. The farm gives him a decent quantity of mushrooms, showing two chests with both red and brown mushrooms, and the entire farm's crops grew from one single red and brown mushroom, the singular ones spreading to multiple. He compares the concept to Adam and Eve as he leaves his mushroom farm, walking to his Love Garden.

Stampy shows off the new addition he has made to his theatre prepared beforehand, having started the lobby exterior, what with the basic front to demonstrate the general forward appearance. At the tick stand, iHaloZone gives Stampy a duo of tickets as the ticket manager. Stampy visits the interior of the unfinished theatre lobby to show a basic idea of what it will look like in the far future, showing the walls to be done as well as a concessions stand with Crimson Azoth as the provider, and a room to enter the ticket booth, as well as a bathroom center. Stampy requests Crimson to give him some bread and porkchops, though he doesn't have anything to exchange. Stampy clarifies that the room is unfinished and is clearly small, along with the floor being unfinished, but he will add one eventually.

Stampy goes to demonstrate the toilet, using a toilet to compenstate for badly-produced bread, advised by the added conveience of the bathrooms. Crimson demonstrates how the bathroom functions by jumping into the hole to use said toilet in, then blocking himself off with some snow blocks. Stampy decides to attempt an opportunity to trap him into the bathroom, which Crimson immediately notices and opens himself up to prevent Stampy's opportunity by breaking the snow blocks and then leaving. Stampy looks up and shows the sign displays for each gender, revealing that Crimson actually used the incorrect toiletries, discomforting Stampy a slight bit. Stampy also demonstrates a sink which is simply a giant stone bucket of water with a lever that doesn't enable nor disable any particular flow of water, due to sinks not being plausible in Minecraft. Stampy sees iHaloZone in the toilet still, and decides to leave him in there, though not before giving him the tickets from before to use as a cleaner due to not wanting to see the play. Stampy sees iHaloZone actually use the tickets for the sink, and Stampy realises he thought it was supposed to be a hand towel.

Stampy walks deeper into the theatre to show where the theatre stage is planned to be, which is currently surrounded by untidy land. Due to the theatre's sheer size and Stampy being unstoppable, Stampy is required to completely erase the mountain preventing the theatre from being constructed, and will erase more of it within the video. Stampy assures the viewers that it won't be a simple method of destroying the land via a manual use of the pickaxe, but rather that he will explode it with TNT. Stampy leads himself into a redstone mechanism connecting up multiple TNT blocks together within the land. Stampy clarifies that there isn't enough to completely blow it up, and will instead decide to dig away at the remainder upon explosion. Leaving outside of the hill again, Stampy points out the tunnels at the top where more TNT is present. Stampy, knowing the two of them, wonders if they will explode the TNT early, laughing at the idea of them ruining such a moment.

Nearby the destroyed mountain, Stampy sees a stone button with a sign reading "Do not touch" above it, fire in front of it. Confused after extinguishing said fire, he asks if it is referring to the fire or the button, and he decides to test the button, taking cover. As anticipated, Stampy experiences a spontaneous explosion, warning iHaloZone not to come close. Inevitably, the button leads to an explosion, and he turns around to accuse one of his two helpers. Crimson having reappeared, he is crouching repeatedly in front of Stampy, and he finds that he is laughing at him for falling for his trick.

Moving on, Stampy shows the front of the theatre with evenly-spaced redstone torches, and he proceeds to climb up the side ladder to reach the top to demonstrate with an open space that there will be a necessary amount of space for redstone. He plans for the redstone torches at the front of the building to flash in a pattern of some sort, and also leads himself down to the ticket booth via the ceiling. Stampy immediately leaves, the "Staff Only" section, shameful about entering without a pass due to not actually being an employee, and he exits to the very front of the theatre to see Crimson throwing snowballs at him in retribution.

Stampy moves onto his Love Garden shoutouts, giving a shoutout to:

  • "Faithle55Angel", pronouncing it "faithless angel" at first before doubting himself;
  • "ItzLuckful", who is a Halo commentator, asking for a dog to be named Lucky and requesting Stampy not to take Lucky with him in the question that he may die;
  • "Cjfolds";
  • "iHaloZone", who added both his own sign and the sign besides it reading "Stampy loves him";
  • "zBelieveTheHype";
  • "awesomejordan89";
  • "faZr ray ray", who he gave a tour of his world to in his "number 1 fan" video, and was excited to be in Stampy's world.

Stampy checks other names to verify if they have already been stated, coming to the conclusion that is all he has to give a shoutout to.

Showing the final design of the library[]

Moving onto the main matter of the video, Stampy visits his doghouse to pick a dog via the path across the farm and the stairs leading to the alternative entrance, only to track across to the main entrance. Stampy explains his plans for the video in that he plans to build a living room, with the walls and a floor already being built, and all he has to add at the moment is the basic necessities for both room styles, such as a sofa, television, bookshelves, and some CDs. While he builds the living room, Crimson Azoth and iHaloZone will build a kitchen. Stampy shows some new names, showing off "Guilty Bark", recommended by Afro Dan91, sarcastically entitling him the "King of Puns", as well as "Lucky", who he had already mentioned. Due to ItzLuckful's warning not to take Lucky with him, Stampy decides to defy the warning and takes Lucky with him anyway, leaving through the alternative entrance.

As he leaves, Stampy jokes that he will set a new record for rambling just as he notices it's nighttime, laughing at how he has made no progress at all as he visits underneath his storage area to travel back up the main floor of his house. Wanting to show one more thing just prior to sleeping, Stampy decides he shoud also show off his finished library, which happened technically a while ago due to being three videos apart, and explains that he hadn't made much progress on his library in the construction video for it, having improved on its features since then, such as the fireplace. On the topic of sleeping, Stampy goes to check if his other two helpers will allow the night to roll over, and he goes to check if iHaloZone knows where the guest room is, to which Stampy finds that he has, and returns back to sleep. Waking up, Stampy apologises for running behind the schedule due to delaying his true plans for the video, showing off the library's final design. Stampy has added various paintings as well as a sofa as he previously stated, scrolling through the additional chests he added which are only full of books per every slot, terrified by the sight of what he thinks is a creeper only to notice it's iHaloZone pranking him, to which Stampy responds to by demanding iHaloZone to return back to the Master Chief skin.

Stampy also goes to show off the fireplace, which iHaloZone walks up to and crouches in front of, and opens up the secret entrance. Stampy walks into the room to show that he employed a purpose for the secret entrance, having converted the area it leads to into a valubalues room like he had previously planned. The middle of the room features a diamond block, and the walls being checkered gold and lapis, with iron blocks in the doorway. Stampy claims it to be "showing off his wealth", only to find that he is undermining the irony in the claim due to it being behind a secret entrance. Stampy sees that the secret entrance is blocked off, scolding his helpers for locking him inside. He shows a lever he added for just the situation, trying to escape only to find that he has also been blocked from the top, finding it ironic that his helpers used snow to keep him inside a fireplace. Stampy desperately demands his helpers to allow him to escape under the impression that they will close it on him again, only to be underwhelmed when they don't do that. Stampy also shows that there is flint and steel stored in the chests to relight the fire, meaning that the player has to relight the fire every time they move on into the secret entrance, though he finds the lighter side in that the fire isn't constantly burning and being a risk.

Building the living room and kitchen[]

Stampy decides to move onto the actual subject matter of the episode, having rambled on enough about the updates to his house already, leading himself up to the middle floor across from the transport station, walking inside to show the layout for the living room and kitchen, one side featuring snow walls with cyan wool and the opposite side featuring stone walls with a black wool and snow checkered floor, divided by a wooden wall with a thin opening. The reason for him deciding on this layout is due to him wanting the living room and kitchen to be more realistic, basing it off the actual size of the room types if conjoined in such a way, and then points out the growling he hears, accidentally associating with a creeper while trying to state it's from a zombie, and decides to ignore it the rest of the time. Stampy illustrates the basic plans in that the living room will feature a sofa of some sort while the kitchen will feature utensils and other relevant materials, as well as a table. Stampy jokes about giving the "go-ahead" for them to start working on the kitchen in that it involves jumping eightfold, crouching threefold, and then spinning in a circle, actions that Crimson copies. Stampy then states that it isn't the actual go-ahead, and he is actually just joking around with them.

Stampy decides to start on the television with the plan to use paintings, and he starts by adding a miniature stone platform, which is then added up with a black wool rectangle of 4x2. Stampy wonders if the size is correct, and he decides to go along with the size. Stampy scrolls through the paintings, wanting to gain the "Fighters" one. Stampy eventually reaches it after a minor complaint about paintings and after mistakingly thinking someone is behind him, and he is in agreement with the result of the main television itself. Stampy adds a button on the side of the structure to act as an "on/off switch". Stampy wishes to add the black wool on a single-slab's top surface, only to find that the full slab counts as a full block as the black wool only floats above it. Stampy finds the iconvenience annoying, and then moves on and agrees with it anyway. Stampy wonders if it's possible in the PC version, and decides to just go with what he currently has.

Stampy also adds the sofa in the middle of the room, planning for it to be in the same style as the one he added in Crimson Azoth's world. Stampy deems the living room done, and then changes his mind to add speakers to the side of the televsion with gray wool pillars. Stampy finds that the button he placed on the side of the television interrupts the pillars, and he goes to destroy it to replace it elsewhere. Stampy ponders if the speakers should be black instead of gray as he adds a button to the top block of the gray pillars to finalise the impression of the speaker, and adds a stone button to the right of the bottom of the television. Stampy questions if he should use a lever instead, but dismisses the thought as it's more plausible with a vintage wind-up television. Stampy acknowledges the sound of the zombie again, showing his discomfort for it, and is unsure of the source, speculating there to be a cave behind the walls due to digging into a mountain. Stampy wonders what other details he can add, and recalls that he has bookshelves on him, deciding to use them as DVD stands, using two of them only due to only having two on his person.

Stampy goes to check on what his two helpers are building, and sees a curved counter layout with a furnace on the left end and the middle, with a crafting table on the right end and two chests in the middle of the counter facing towards the door. Stampy admires the appearance of the kitchen, and realises that he hasn't worked on the table yet, returning to his living room to find iHaloZone watching the television. Stampy questions if he should add a painting to the living room, deciding to add one to the wall at the back, and he points out that he is aware of the names of each painting due to his lighthouse art gallery. Stampy leads up to the Donkey Kong painting, and decides to changes his mind immediately after due to asymmetry. After noting how impulsively repeatedly putting up paintings leads the player to end up destroying the one they wanted in the first place, wondering if it's just a case of his own issues, Stampy ends up landing on the "Sun" painting. Having decided one, Stampy explains something about the mechanics of paintings in that the size depends on whether or not the player is pointing on the bottom left corner of the wall, or pointing diagonally up one, in order to advise his viewers to be more likely to receive their desired painting.

Stampy returns back to the kitchen to check on progress, seeing iHaloZone filling in the top row with wood, and decides to help his two helpers by crafting some fences and adding them in the corners between the counter and cupboard. Stampy returns back to his living room again and rearranges the torches again, making them more orderly and consistent. Finished rearranging the torches, Stampy also decides to add a coffee table, crafting some wooden slabs. With the virtue of him using a simple slab duo in mind, Stampy explains his difficulty in building in that he usually takes up too much time not building at all and ends up not having enough time to actually build anything. In this case, however, Stampy is too efficient, ending up having built quicker than he had planned and completing the living room he wanted in the very same episode long before the 20 minute mark. Stampy is about to explain the alternative schedule as he walks into the kitchen, interrupted by the design of the table added to the room, which is an upwards-piston surrounded by wooden chairs, though he calls the piston a dispenser. Stampy walks up to the lever nearby it, causing iHaloZone to hit him. Stampy moves out of the way after seeing the lever, and continues to question if the mechanic he is witnessing is actually a piston. Stampy reaches the conclusion that it is, emulating the situation where someone is casually eating porkchops only for the porkchops are going to be ejected onto the ceiling by an accidental lever pull.

A mountainous and explosive finale[]

Having investigated the progress, Stampy deems the kitchen finished, and turns around to see Crimson Azoth adding a painting to the dividing wall. Stampy sees he is adding it to the top corner of the doorway, questioning why he is deciding to add one in that particular location. Stampy, having deemed it the end of the construction chapter, tries to get their attention. Stampy was considering punching Crimson Azoth to get their attention, only to realise that Lucky will chase after and kill them as a result. He tries to tell them to follow him, jumping around his living room in an attempt to get their attention. With their disobedience, Stampy wishes there was some form of sign language to use within Minecraft, and he simply decides to just leave the living room through his house instead. Stampy visits his Love Garden through his house, announcing that he will go to destroy a mountain. Stampy sarcastically gives it attention as a unique idea, despite being aware that the mountain explosion will end up unlike expectations, before moving around a torch within the Love Garden, adding them to the fences isntead. Stampy takes notice to a sign added atop another sign in the Love Garden, and he elaborates that it's due to a situation that had happened prior in which Crimson was curious as the result of the Love Garden. Stampy decided he should stack the signs, and Crimson rejected the idea of someone adding a sign atop his own. Stampy came to the conclusion to simply add his girlfriend "Demo" on top of his sign, an idea that Crimson agreed on. Stampy clarifies that her name is actually "Demi" and the name "Demo" stemmed from a student radio show. Stampy turns around to see the moment iHaloZone died, and he wonders why Lucky decided to kill him, unaware of when he was hit prior in the kitchen.

Stampy sees the night cycle rolling over again, desperate to cause an explosion before it goes completely dark, hoping iHaloZone rejoins. Unaware of the truth, Stampy jokes about putting Lucky down due to being vicious as he approaches the redstone wiring connecting the TNT together. Stampy explains the concept of the layout in that he took precautions and didn't complete the redstone as to prevent a premature explosion. Walking up to the top row, Stampy jokes about how his "safety inspector" mmonitored the operation, and concluded that the wire is best left unfinished until the time of actually enacting the demolition, which is now. Stampy adds that the explosion on the bottom will be set off by himself, and Crimson Azoth and iHaloZone will set off the two on the top, hoping for an ambitious explosion.

After the explosions have been set off, Stampy notices the damage to be minimal compared to the land being exploded, and he realises that he will have to repeat the process continuously if he wishes to reach anywhere acceptable. Stampy had come to the conclusion that a redstone mechanism was not the most effective method of exploding a mountin, and had decided on the method for entertainment value for the finale of the episode. After the episode, he and his helpers will collect all of the debris, as well as the redstone dust, returning to the inside of his house via the unfinished theatre, planning to build a swimming pool in his house next, hoping it will go "swimming". Stampy expects his next video to be uploaded by a two-to-three day period, hoping to have built the theatre up more by that point, and will set up his performace of "Stampy and the Magic Porkchop" upon formally completing it. Stampy returns back into his storage area to end the episode, thanking the viewers for watching and Crimson Azoth & iHaloZone for assisting him, ending the episode "That's the end of the video, though, so I'll see you later."

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode of the Stampy's Lovely World series in an episode set within Stampy's Lovely World itself to feature Stampy in the traditional Fidget skin that he uses from the episode onwards.
  • Crimson Azoth's girlfriend, Demi, was added to the Love Garden, with her sign added above him. As a long-running joke, Stampy spells her name as "Demo" as he kept her spelling wrong while he was working on a student radio show.
