"And that's something else I need, I didn't think about, is-- it can't be dark at all in the maze, if the maze is dark, and a whole load of googiles spawn in there... then it's gonna be not very good, because [laughs] it's gonna be tough enough being a mouse with a cat on the loose, but if there's a creeper as well? Uh, yeah, that is gonna be very difficult." |
— Stampy remarking on the convenience of torches in the maze for Cat And Mice. |
"Mouse Maze" is the 182nd episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and his helpers finish building Cat And Mice, and he then hosts a test round.
Plot[]
The second four of the zombie model head-shot mini-game, a wooden head & suspicious activity[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x, as well as rosie833, exiting out to find snow laid down on the floor, asking her if she has been dropping it over his house due to being a penguin, as well as FearADubh, and someone else who is unknown of their location, deciding to return back into the bedroom with the intention of the new mini-game to play, though not before eating part of a cake given by L for Leeeee x. As he is about to introduce this, his Xbox controlled suddenly runs out of its battery and then returns back to life, to his minor inconvenience, explaining the rules of the mini-game in question in that he and his helpers have to fire an arrow into the air and make it land on top of the head of the zombie model on the walkway, offering L for Leeeeee x to have the first attempt. However, L for Leeeeee x ends up releasing too strongly, eventually landing to the right of the zombie, after which Stampy makes his own attempt, landing just behind the zombie.
After playing the mini-game, Stampy returns back inside to disconnect and reconnect his controller to remove the message above telling him to reconnect his controller, Stampy additionally introduces LONG bow X99 to the episode, and he decides to follow the mysterious trail of snow thereafter to find the source, eventually leading himself up the stairs to the second floor of the main area of his house to find Henry, to his surprise, warning him to stay cautious of the water in the water source around his house leading through, and watching him dance around, wondering if he has grown bored due to being in a video after a long absence. Leaving him behind, Stampy decides to visit the Love Garden, interrupted by an attempt to trap him in a hole along the way, intending to then visit Stampy's Funland to continue building his new mini-game, giving a shoutout to "Stampys#1fan" for a wooden Stampy Cat head of 16x16 in inches, thinking it to represent his own face.
Moving on to the doghouse, he explains that he is going to finish the Cat And Mice mini-game that he had started building in the previous episode, and then play it for a short period, and then finds L for Leeeee x acting somewhat paranoid as he holds out his bow and arrow at the front of his doghouse, finding the source to be the suspicious presence of a dog outside of his doghouse, to his confusion, walking into the doghouse to find his dogs having been spread out significantly, most being absent, wondering if they have been sleepwalking, and enters into his doghouse to take Benton with him. However, due to being unable to find him, Stampy eventually trails the dogs out from the doghouse to find Benton sitting underneath a lamppost for his town, standing him up afterwards and deciding he should investigate the reason for his dogs' behaviour.
A finished maze layout for Cat And Mice[]
Running over to Stampy's Funland, Stampy decides he shouldn't waste time further due to his eagerness to complete the mini-game, only to be interrupted by a notification that he has received mail in the Flap Postal Service, which he goes to investigate to find a single arrow, to his confusion, and moves on to finally visit Stampy's Funland. On his way, he explains the events of the previous episode in that he and his helpers were building Cat And Mice, and the concept of the mini-game in that a cat wielding a diamond sword will be present in the middle to guard a set of cheese, and four mice will start in each corner to steal as much of it as possible so they can then leave the maze with it without being caught by the cat. In the previous episode, he had attempted to build the maze, only to fail to make progress, getting confused and giving to decide to play on a different mini-game overall, though he enjoyed doing so, and has fixed the maze layout since then, now being required to raise the walls, a task of which his helpers will fulfill as he builds a house for the mice in order for them to sleep in.
Arriving at the building site for the mini-game, Stampy shows the finished maze layout. However, due to being entirely flat, the maze is impossible to read on, deciding to ender pearl on top of the container for Water Rush to look down, accidentally bringing Benton with him and sitting him down to then show the full layout from above, giving his viewers permission to copy it exactly, noting that he has also added all five mouse trap models on the corner rather than the single model in the middle, as well as how L for Leeeee x and LONG bow X99 are building the walls of the maze, which are intended to be two blocks high so players are unable to jump over them, his helper doing such as Stampy creates the additional features around the maze. Finishing the updates on the maze, Stampy then stands Benton up and uses an ender pearl to return back to the ground along with his dog.
A mouse house for Cat And Mice[]
While his helpers build up the walls for the maze, Stampy will use the limited room given to him behind the maze to create the mouse house, which will include various tunnels, as well as a cheese stand on the surface to display the cheese of the mice. Digging four blocks down, Stampy states that the area is not needed to be excessively far down or too big, only serving to include five beds for the cat and the mice, as well as chests in case the cat kills one of the mice. Intending to replace the sand underground with dirt, and then create the cheese stand afterwards, Stampy intends to have a test game to then host an official tournament to verify the "best cat". Reminded by the darkness of the area he is digging out underground, Stampy realises that the maze can't be dark to any capacity as hostile mobs will interfere with the mini-game's procedure.
Judging the final size for the interior of the mouse house, Stampy returns back up to find someone having added a custom entrance with the wool used for the rest of the mini-game, which is against his intentions as he intends for it to appear instead as an actual mound of dirt, which he entitles a "mouse mound", in order to give the impression of the mice having tunneled down. Returning back to the topic of the cheese stand, Stampy explains that it is a "cheese counter" of some form where all the cheese is positioned to serve as a tally, and he then proceeds to build the entrance to the hole, randomly spreading around dirt to give the impression of being natural, after which Benton then randomly dances around on top.
Finishing the entrance, Stampy states the sand for the interior will be switched to dirt to eventually, and then announces the presence of beds for the mouse house, of which are directly next to Water Rush, which he will then pick up to place underground to sleep with his helpers. On his way to gathering them, Stampy notices rosie833's sudden presence, wondering if she had only then arrived, thinking she may have gotten herself lost, and then gathers up the beds afterwards. Doing so and returning, Stampy also checks on the progress made on the maze, seeing them having practically built the walls for the maze to the necessary height, to his surprise, and with the beds, Stampy arranges the beds with no particular order underground, as well as various torches.
Before adding the chests underground in addition for item storage, Stampy adds a final detail to the maze in the form of iron doors per each corner, which will be designed via an iron door and a pressure plate for one-way access for the mice to enter, advising his helpers as they build up the walls to the maze to add the torches down. Setting down another crafting table of his, Stampy takes note of a distant crafting table already nearby, to his humour, wondering why he crafts as many crafting tables as he does, since he prefers to craft another crafting table than reuse a crafting table already present. Crafting a set of iron doors and stone pressure plates, Stampy adds the first door to take entry, of which he expects Benton to test only for him to refuse the request outright. Additionally, Stampy is also required to add middle doors for the mice to escape at the end of the mini-game via a pressure plate on the inside than the outside. Stampy then crafts the entry doorway on the blue side of the maze, along with the middle, proceeded by Benton and LONG bow X99 appearing directly in front of him. Moving onto the red side, Stampy adds the entry door, only to find that he has run out of iron, requesting extra from L for Leeeee x only for him to turn out to completely lack iron, to his inconvenience, and he decides to substitute the iron doors with wooden doors as a last resort instead, moving onto the green side to add the final two doors so that he and his helpers can sleep and play the first test game.
Fishing the doors, Stampy decides he won't have the time to make the cheese stand and using blocks as a substitute instead, and after verifying and approving of the maze he and his helpers have built, Stampy then calls for his helpers to sleep and play the first game to find if it's fun. Returning back to the underground, Stampy then crafts a set of chests and spreads them out in the hole, though not before a zombie enters in unwarranted. Advising his helpers to expel their inventory and armour, Stampy assigns himself to play the role of a cat, using a diamond sword already on his person and expelling most of his own inventory afterwards. After doing so, Stampy then calls his helpers to sleep in order to play the first game, which he clarifies is the absolute first.
A test game of Cat And Mice[]
Resetting to day, Stampy firstly requests his cake from L for Leeeee x due to such, which he is given and decides to eat afterwards, leaving the mouse house as he tells Benton to sit down in advance. To start, he climbs on top of the mini-game to enter into the middle, telling his helpers to pick a corner until he eventually reaches the middle of the maze as is necessary. To start, Stampy then disables gamertags and advises his helpers to add the cheese they gather in a row just outside of the mouse residence outside to count up points, and then gives a countdown to start the first game.
Doing so, Stampy immediately dashes around the maze with the desperation to find the enemies, seeing rosie833 as his first victim attempting to gather the green cheese, desperate to cut her off, only to end up losing her. However, in the same area, he finds FearADubh and kills him, finding rosi833 again and trying to chase her, only to be diverted by L for Leeeee x, chasing after him and eventually catching him on the green middle door. However, due to technicality, Stampy states that he is unsure on where the cheese fell. He additionally wonders if FearADubh had escaped, only to find him having returned, killing him and telling him that those who have been killed aren't allowed in the maze. Trying to search for the remaining maze, Stampy eventually finds the cheese to have been completely removed from the mini-game with him not even gathering any.
Now at the end of the test game, Stampy runs outside to verify if his helpers had gathered all of the cheese, finding that they did without error, commending their efforts through distracting him and expressing his eagerness to play it officially in the next episode in a tournament where five players will play as a cat to see the "best cat" and "best mice", then ending the episode with the line "But sadly, we've just about run out of time in this video here, so I wanna thank you all very much for watching, and I will see you all later. Byeeeeee!"
