"This could be like a magic trick, like, making a dog appear. I feel like a curtain should rise and dog should just come out." |
— Stampy after Aqua pops out of his collection point for his tree farm. |
"Nether Wart Farm" is the 77th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy hosts a round of Crystal Rapids against Miss MCXBLA, L for Leeeee x and emm 2.
Plot[]
Converting part of a sugar cane row to nether warts & the water dog[]
Stampy opens the episode, noting the Moon descending from his balcony meaning the Sun will ascend on the oppostie side, though sometimes it doesn't appear to rise. Stampy decides he should get a better view of the Sun in question, climbing up to the top of the roof and visiting the opposite side, saying that he never seems to watch a sunrise and appreciate the "natural beauty" of Minecraft. Upon reaching the roof, Stampy is now able to see the sunrise in question, describing it as "pretty" as L for Leeeee x and emm 2 join him, to which he asks the former if he likes it, to which Stampy jokes that L for Leeeee x is on the roof every morning gazing into the Sun as he has a tear of joy rolling down his face. Stampy introduces his helpers as L for Leeeee x, and emm 2, also known as "Emma", who Stampy believes has been present in a video centered around his community world. Stampy also introduces EPIC BIG C. However, her gamertag was changed to "Miss MCXBLA", to which Stampy simply has to take his word that it's still EPIC BIG C, of whom is building her house in current time, which he will plan to check out eventually.
Stampy then returns back down into his house as he explains that he hasn't got a proper goal for the video, and he is trying to do multiple things at once and get through them all. The only thing he is going to actually do in regards to building is a nether wart farm as he goes to gather soul sand and nether warts to create the farm. Stampy recalls the events of his last epiosde in that he found that Hit The Target was friendly, and that he spent his time attacking him, destroy him, and think he was stealing his dogs. Stampy realised he wasn't, and that he was only trying to steal them to save them from himself. Venturing into his doghouse, Stampy explains that he has gone to tea parties and visited to Stampy's Funland. He isn't with him currently, and is unsure of his current location, but regardless is friendly now. During his journey into the Nether, Stampy had also gathered some nether warts and blaze rods. With this, Stampy plans to build a nether wart farm, visit his secret base to place brewing stands, and then visit Stampy's Funland to race on Crystal Rapids due to it being finished. Firstly, Stampy decides to take Aqua with him because of the water theme, and characterises her as a dog who has her paws slightly wet because she licks her paws.
Stampy exits from his doghouse via the alternative entrance, traveling upstairs to his farm with the intention of building quickly as he has a lot to get through. Stampy starts by removing the row of sugar cane closest to his tree farm, and then replace the water with soul sand, and then place nether wart. Stampy had seen a video based on a tutorial for a nether wart farm, and the person who made it spent at least three minutes explaining the simply concept of placing down nether warts onto soul sand. After breaking away his sugar cane, Stampy offers alternatively fancy methods of collection, but if it's a simple farm, all the player has to do is position their soul sand and place their nether warts on top, leading it to grow. Though Stampy says this, he is unsure if it will grow as expected in the first place, but will come back later to check if it has grown. Stampy gives advice on those who are annoyed by it not being able to grow in that it only has been able to do so since TU9, so if it was grown a fortnight ago at least, the player can try to grow it again now and it should be successful.
After placing down his soul sand, Stampy gathers his nether wart and then stores his sugar cane in the sugar cane farm directly next to him, afterwards concluding the operation upon planting it. Stampy plans to add a fence to the end of the row, and then searches for a crafting table to craft one. Stampy searches for a crafting table on his farm, confused upon the absence of one since he constantly has them, and decides to add one to the corner of the farm so he can craft a fence. Stampy realises that he hasn't added someone to the Love Garden, joking about how his viewers were panicking about him not doing it, and is then alerted by the sound of Aqua being hurt behind him. Stampy alerts Aqua to stay away from the cacti on the farm, who is constantly getting hurt by them regardless of Stampy's attempts to drag her away. The cacti causes Aqua to run around and then drop down into the tree farm water flow and into the hole, to which Stampy follows over to and then checks the other end to find her casually popping out of the other end, which he finds to be comical as he feeds her. Stampy sarcastically asks if she liked her journey down, and explains that the point of the water is that it is supposed to serve as a collection point for the saplings in his tree farm, and she had thought it was some form of game. Stampy warns Aqua to stay away from the cacti, and that he had recently lost Cedric and doesn't want to lose another dog.
Stampy adds the last fence to the end of the nether wart row of his farm, as well as make the ground into dirt so it appears acceptable, and then finishes off his additions to the nether wart farm, to which he thought would take longer. Stampy wonders about extending it, and decides to do it anyway by expanding out each side since he had done the one row rather quickly, to which Stampy also notes that the nether warts are already growing. He also considers adding torches next to it to help it grow quicker, though he is unsure if it needs light since it's from the Nether. Stampy places down the soul sand for one side of the row, and runs out of his soul sand afterwards, adding the final nether warts that he can and planning to finalise it afterwards. With a new nether wart farm, Stampy plans to make positions with it, and then sees emm 2 wearing a pumpkin on her head, thining it to be comical, consdiering the "half cow, half pumpkin" element to be entertaining.
Squeaky Stampy & a stone slab secret[]
Stampy stands up Aqua on the expectation that she won't just run back into the cacti again, and he decides immediately after that he wants to see her run into the water of his tree farm again due to finding it entertaining how she emerged from the hole. Constantly trying, Stampy fails, until he is able to push her in via the fences. Stampy tries to lure her down into the exit with a porkchop, only to fail anyway as she is interested in L for Leeeee x nearby her instead. Stampy calls Aqua a "letdown" with thick sarcasm, and then enters his Love Garden with the plan to give someone a shoutout. He gives a shoutout to "James Sayer" because of a comment that made him laugh, reading "Stampy, I love it when you get excited and squeak in a squeaky voice like a mouse who has just found some cheese." Prompted, Stampy welcomes him to the Love Garden in a squeaky voice as indicated by request.
Venturing down to his secret base, Stampy says that he had had noticed that it's true and he does squeal, though he doesn't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing as he can't control it and it's just the state of his voice, and then he jokingly deepens his voice as he takes entry into the comination room for the secret base. Returning to his normal voice, Stampy triggers his code and enters inside while cautious about hostile mobs potentially appearing. Stampy states that he isn't actually building much inside of his secret base and will plan to build the entire interior in the next episode, though he will be building brewing stands as of now. Stampy firstly has to show a new form of block, however, which is essentially a stone slab doubled up that appears as a full block. This is due to a glitch, as demonstrated by him failing to stack stone slabs within a chest despite them looking exactly the same. The code of the slab is changed when two of the same slab type is placed on one another, an element that Stampy found to be cool, which he will teach his viewers about eventually. Stampy plans to use these as tables since it fits into the style. Stampy proceeds to craft some brewing stands, though confused abou the category, and places them onto the blocks he had created. He explains the basic purpose of his secret base in that it's supposed to serve as some form of secret laboratory where he can research new things and make redstone contraptions. The secret base was initially to defend from Hit The Target before he had found out that he is actually friendly and is more likely to protect him. Stampy also shows the result of the panic room doorway from before, which he apparently hasn't changed since, but had found out that lag prevent it from working, and due to the current lack thereof, it now does, as demonstrated by him entering into his panic room. Stampy shows the cake he has down in the panic room, and also shows the system to escape from it from the interior.
As he repeats once again, Stampy states that he will add to his base and make it cool, making it more like his "Catcave". He prepares himself to journey up his water elevator again, finding emm 2 taking the first exit. Stampy sees that there isn't a Frank & Frankie to interfere with the process, and then hears a creeper upon resurfacing, freaking him out and confusing him. Due to the lack of one being there, however, Stampy is unsure if it actually existed in the first place, though in the defense process, he had accidentally hit emm 2, causing Aqua to attack her by accident, to which Stampy has to chase Aqua down and chastise her for doing so. Stampy tells Aqua to apologise, and they eventually reconcile.
New helper district houses, demonstrating the method for the stone slab trick & finally playing on Crystal Rapids[]
Stampy goes to visit his minecart track with the preparation of venturing to Crystal Rapids, planning to how new houses on his way, since two videos ago, he had shown a house that Elaine Maatje had built themed around a mushroom, which he admired, and due to that, everyone else has contributed. In the middel station, Stampy walks over to the rest of the district to show the houses that L for Leeeee x, Ank55, and LONG bow X99 had built, as well as one that Miss MCXBLA is building presently. Stampy firstly shows Miss MCXBLA's hut, showing that she is taking advantage of the dfiferent wood types, a design which he admires. The interior features a bed lacking a floor and a counter, which Stampy speculates to become a shop, recommending it to be called "Chloe's Quality Goods". Stampy remarks on her new gamertag as "Miss MCXBLA" as it's not the "EPIC BIG C" he knows of. Stampy leaves to show off L for Leeeee x's house, entitled "Lee's Lovely House", which Stampy sees is a giant moose, featuring one of the miniature model moose that he and L for Leeeee x have been building, noting a detail of giant eyes that Stampy had also added. Stampy also comments on the legs, stating that he likes how they are sticking out. There is also a tail on the back of the moose. Stampy considers it to be "the best house ever", which is highlighted by a sign he added to the front reading "Best house EVER!" Stampy tours inside, finding general contents laid out in an orderly fashion, and a dog called Sparky in one of the corners, whom he greets. Stampy offers L for Leeeee x bring Sparky along with him, and then ventures down underneath the moose house, calling it "his own little clubhouse", though Stampy himself added a sign reading "Stampys basement" which he never got rid of. He also shows an enchanting room underneath the moose house, as well as a club with a colourful floor design. Stampy goes to show the other houses as he leaves, planning to sleep before a creeper blows them up potentially, and he remarks on the size of the houses as they are small enough to be completely destroyed upon a creeper blowing up within. Stampy then checks "Longbow's Protected House", which is made completely out of signs bar some snow pillars. Stampy remarks on the house as "a unique design". Stampy then moves onto Ank55's house, entitled "Ank55's Lovely Home", which Stampy describes as "a standard house" with a cool design. Stampy also goes inside to see he has basic necessities, and then shows the underneath, featuring an awkward structure that Stampy doesn't understand the context of.
Having toured everyone's house, Stampy decides to sleep inside of Elaine Maatje's house, remarking on her dog as well as the presence of cake, and then he reiterates his basic plan for the video from that point forth in that he will have a boat race at Crystal Rapids, and will also show how to make the slab-full block hybrid as a result of a glitch. Stampy comments on the face of Elaine Maatje's dog staring at him, finding it to be comical, and then finally journeys over to Stampy's Funland to play on Crystal Rapids. Stampy explains that he also has prizes, L for Leeeee x building a podium too. The winner will win a a cake, the second place winner will win an apple, and the third place winner will win rotten flesh. If the player comes in last place, they will win coal. Stampy also recalls that he has to show the finished race track due to not having the time to finish it completely in the video it was built it. He shows the finished track, stating that the main track is exactly the same in regards to the layout, but has added some details, like a queue with a sign reading "Crystal Rapids", the queue leading to the starting point with a chest filled with boats, which he picks out along with Miss MCXBLA. He also explains the starting mechanism in that, upon starting, the player's boat will be pushed forward by a stream of water from Crystal Waters above, sending the boat off as demonstrated by Miss MCXBLA. The system is used in the first place to even out the odds between players, as a countdown would allow the opportunity to cheat. Stampy also shows a pillar in the middle filled with water from Crystal Waters, making it appear as though it's leading into the track and filing it, as well as fixing the stream on the penultimate corner, as a player's boat would break half the time, adding a stream pushing the opposite direction to make sure it doesn't, which Stampy goes to demonstrate.
Before playing, however, Stampy plans to show how the slab-full block entities are made, showing a contraption made by MC Miracle, who built The Walls, and is also building an adventure map that he will be playing with iBallisticSquid. Stampy offers his viewers a clear look at the mechanism so it can be replicated, showing a stream that leads onto a redstone torch, triggering a piston to push up a duo of stone slabs. He demonstrates how it works as he states that he has no idea how it actually works, and then climbs up to place a water source block, cauisng the pistons to extend as planned, creating the slab-full block mesh successfully. The water is then returned, and the block is then picked up, though it appears as though it is ruined due to returning two half slabs back. The player then has to repeat this process. When they are placed back down again, they return to their form as a full block. Stampy states that it's a good thing to know about in the case of using it as a substitute for iron. Stampy hopes that 4J Studios doesn't patch the glitch upon seeing the video, with Stampy having waited until TU19 to make sure they didn't.
Stampy then announces the start of the tournament, telling everyone to set up, offering he goes to the boat closest to the lever to start the race. Stampy notes that L for Leeeee x had won last time. Suddenly, emm 2 falls through the floor, requiring Stampy to save her. Despite his attempts, however, the game takes it as Stampy having killed her, to which he denies responsibility before falling down into the floor himself and fixing the damage. Stampy wonders where emm 2 is, seeing her to be distant from the game, and upon the second attempt to start, he advises everyone not to leave their boat upon entering it, and that if their boat breaks, the other players must continue walking. Stampy then sets off the race, and L for Leeeee x followed by Miss MCXBLA follow behind him with Stampy in last place due to lacking control over the boats. After some issues with who should enter first, Stampy eventually continues to follow behind L for Leeeee x through the thinner area of the track, and he finds that he has to divert around L for Leeeee x. Eventually, L for Leeeee x manages to cross the finish line while showboating, and Stampy passes by last.
With the race over, Stampy points out how the finishing line gives a boost upon crossing it, making it entertaining when committing to multiple laps. Everyone leaving the race course, Stampy realises that he has come in last place, though he thinks emm 2 technically did due to never starting, and describes the race as "a bit of a shame". Stampy approaches a podium built by L for Leeeee x showing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Due to L for Leeeee x coming in first place, he wins the cake, followed by Miss MCXBLA, who attacks L for Leeeee x. Promptly, Sparky attacks her, though Stampy believes it to be Aqua, and he gives Miss MCXBLA her prize of an apple where she is intended to be positioned on the podium, though she is actually trying to hide behind the gate of the Pew Pew Shooting Range. In regards to emm 2, however, she receives the 3rd place position due to Stampy pitying her as Miss MCXBLA is still chased by Sparky up to Crystal Waters. Stampy then states that he hopes his viewers enjoyed the video, and that he had fun making it, also being excited by playing Crystal Rapids for the first time. Seeing that his three players are fighting each other, leading to Miss MCXBLA's death from emm 2, Stampy ends the episode with the line "And hopefully you enjoyed this video once again. I just wanna end by saying thank for watching, and I will see you later. Byeeee!"
