"I'm gonna be counting "six"-- uh, up to six in my head when I go to bed tonight, I've said it so many times." |
— Stampy remarking on the overtly consistent use of a six-block width count for his pig-racing mini-game. |
"Pig Race" is the 189th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy hosts a pig race to Stampy's Funland against L for Leeeee x to begin building a pig-racing mini-game, and then he hosts a test race.
Plot[]
Henry antics & lots of art[]
Stampy opens the episode, greeted by L for Leeeee x having entered from behind the mountain in front via ender pearl, leading himself onto the balcony. Confused by his mysterious appearance, Stampy asks him for if he has cake, and hasn't forgotten due to spending most of his time wherever else he was, being given the cake and eating it on the balcony, though leaving part of it behind. Leaving his bedroom, Stampy then leaves to seek out Henry, finding him on the edge of the balcony of the second floor of the main area of his house. Concerned, Stampy decides to try and redirect him to his bedroom via dirt staircase, L for Leeeee x deciding to push him down the dirt staircase onto the bottom floor again. However, in his attempt to coerce him into his bedroom again, Henry ends up climbing up the stairs again, which Stampy accepts as he eventually wraps back around. With this, L for Leeeee x eventually pushes him back inside of his bedroom, which Henry seemingly desires against as he wants to leave immediately. Scolding him, Stampy tells him that he would let him roam around if he didn't spread snow around the house. Hilda decides to approach him, and Stampy wonders if he cares and then leaves the two of them behind with one another with the intention of visiting Stampy's Funland to build a new mini-game.
Visiting the Love Garden, Stampy states that the person in question is someone special who he had thought he added prior, giving a shoutout to "PyxyelStyx" for drawing art of him, showing a select few to demonstrate, such as Stampy himself and iBallisticSquid in the sky, drawn nine months ago as of the episode's recording, as well as a picture featuring the members of MagicAnimalClub, thinking the pictures to be amazing and leaving a link in the description to a video including the pictures being drawn in a speed art video. After, Stampy firstly decides to visit the doghouse in order to grab a dog and then return to his animal farm. Inside of the doghouse, Stampy decides to take Sherbet, characterising him as having a "bright glistening coat" as well as the colour of his collar, the latter of which reminds him of the fact that his viewers have been insisting him to dye the colours of his dogs' collars.
The pig race to Stampy's Funland[]
Leaving the doghouse, Stampy then visits his farm to gather carrots for an eventual purpose, crafting a carrot on a stick for bot himself and L for Leeeee x, the tool of which can be used to guide pigs. With the relevance of pigs accounted for, Stampy states that he is building a pig-racing mini-game, said pigs being allowed to be ridden with saddles, only having one of them. Suddenly, behind him, Stampy sees Sherbet having been set on fire by the mob trap, countering the effects by repeatedly feeding him as he continually runs back into the mob trap. Eventually, he decides to lead him away from the mob trap as he continues to feed him, the fire eventually leaving from Sherbet. With the fire, Stampy remarks that the fire has caused his fur to be dirtied by the ash, and then proceeds to sit him down to tell him that dogs shouldn't go in fire. Assuming he understands, he decides that Sherbet shouldn't be near the fire, additionally commenting that he thought Sherbet was going to die and then leaving him sat by the water until the end of the episode to stand him up again.
Returning back to the animal farm, Stampy explains the basic idea he has in mind in that the mini-game will be a pig-racing mini-game. However, in order to accomplish this, he has to lead the pigs in question to Stampy's Funland itself, deciding to a race over in order to lead them out and over. Eventually, Stampy then leads out two pigs with saddles acquired, with Stampy's pig failing to get out of the pen and L for Leeeee x's pig having been led back into the fence by a creeper. With both of the pigs led out of the farm and the remaining pigs blocked off, Stampy attempts to declare the race as started, only to end up temporarily trapped in the collection point for the tree farm.
With Stampy and L for Leeeee x at equal pace, Stampy leads himself through his farm, though getting the pig caught on the ladder for his tree farm, declaring the winner to be the one to enter the circus. Eventually leading through the town path, Stampy dashes past L for leeeeee x and uses the path leading over to enter into Stampy's Funland, as opposed to the ice connecting the two areas together, in order to prevent the pig from dropping into water. Seeing L for Leeeee x having taken a different route to him, however, he decides to continue forward, traveling through the tunnel underneath the sign for Stampy's Funland as his pig drops in speed, commenting that he is unsure on how to ride a pig correctly due to never riding one before.
Speeding up once inside, Stampy directs himself over to the circus through Stampy's Funland, eventually seeing L for Leeeee x on the path connected to the circus in the distance. However, L for Leeeee x is running without his pig, with thinking the reason for the pig's absence to be due to some form of occurring accident as he also greets Holly and Jolly by Reindeer Rodeo. Arriving just outside of the circus, Stampy sees L for Leeeee x in a pig skin, telling him that he can't simply win by pretending to be a pig. He realises that his pig has stopped, however, due to the carrot dislodging from the fishing rod with the carrot on a stick, deciding to continue the race by manually holding the carrot. To remain consistent, however, he decides to craft a crafting table to carrot on a stick, but is unable to do so due to his fishing rod being damage, thereby preventing one from being crafted, deciding to gather extra string and riding the pig in the circus itself instead. However, due to being night, Stampy decides he and L for Leeeee x should sleep in the circus to then start building the mini-game in the morning.
Beginning to build a pig-racing mini-game & a test race[]
Rolling over to day, Stampy remarks on if he has made a new record on failing to actually build for an extended beginning period, having spent 12 minutes of footage failing to lead two pigs over to Stampy's Funland. Due to the circumstances, Stampy challenges L for Leeeee x to craft a duo of carrot on a stick to set up another race while be builds the mini-game itself, giving him carrots, though unsure of where string would be. At the building site, right of the circus itself, Stampy comments the mini-game will be big, marking out the main dimensions with torches, making a 50x29 black rectangle outline as he describes the design as having black wool with pink in its middle. In regards to the mini-game itself, Stampy states that the mini-game will have a "standard" track, featuring various obstacles, such as bridges, tunnels, a water pushback, pistons, soulsand, tripwires triggering a water trap, in order to make the racing element exciting. In regards to the present, Stampy decides to simply mark out most of the track itself, and then add the obstacles in the next episode, playing the mini-game in the episode afterwards, though he may have to practice, as demonstrated by his actions in the race over to Stampy's Funland, wondering why the carrot fell off of his fishing rod.
Connecting up the rectangle, Stampy states that the front area will contain a long straight area, starting to build the first wall diagonally in from six counting from the front right corner for the track to be six blocks wide in total due to the quantity of pigs. In terms of the straight element, Stampy will include some form of mechanism, though uncertain about specifics, considering pulling a lever down to drop fences after a timer and start the race off. After the straight, the corner will then turn on the left edge, counting in from six to start the first corner. Stampy realises that he is starting to run out of black wool, having spare created in advance via a sheep pen to compensate for such an event, and describes the first obstacle upon turning the corner as the water, which will serve as an obstacle due to how pigs are slow in water.
Reaching the first back straight, Stampy starts to mark out the next section of track, gathering extra black wool via ender pearls as he wonders of L for Leeeee x's whereabouts. Arriving at the sheep pen, of which contains both pink and black wool, Stampy shears the sheep present to gather the resources, along with an extra amount in the chest. Eating a porkchop after, Stampy then returns his ender pearls to quickly return to the mini-game, finding the method to be fun, though also advising his viewers to be careful due to them causing damage. Back at the mini-game, Stampy starts to build the bridge, which is positioned in a wrap-around with the left edge starting six blocks left. He describes the process to undertake during the segment in that players will travel up the bridge, and then travel around and under it, which he questions if actually making sense.
To start building the bridge with pink wool, clarifying the rest of the floor to be made out of pink wool with the possibility of various pig faces, Stampy drags the bridge upwards to three blocks high, making the main bridge area four blocks long so it can then lead down again to then be led underneath of the bridge, hoping for his idea of multiple pigs traveling around to be fun. With this requiring saddles, Stampy is determined to gather as many as he possibly can, and then starts to add a wall to the left side of the tunnel in black, the wall extending upwards to block off from the top as well to prevent the pigs from jumping over the bridge and jumping off of the bridge. To finish off the bridge, Stampy then connects the right wall of the bridge to the mini-game's back wall, explaining his general intended plan so far as players will travel around the corner to end up on the bridge, and then travel around underneath it.
Refining the interior of the bridge and blocking it off from the rest of the track, Stampy admires the appearance of the mini-game, moving onto the next section. In terms of the next question, he considers it to be interesting, as there will be two routes, the left being longer and faster, and the right being shorter and slower with soulsand due to the pigs automatically jumping on it. Starting on this section, Stampy leaves an opening of the appropriate size with the layout automatically leading the right side of the section to be longer. Starting on the next section of track, Stampy remarks that he will be counting to six during his sleep due to the amount of times he has said the number from the amount of times he has had to count to it for each track section. Leading the wall to the section to the very end again, Stampy starts on the next section of the track.
Starting on the next obstacle in question, Stampy describes that there will be a row of pressure plates that trigger fences in front and behind to slow down both themselves and opponents, finding it to be comical in the event of a pig getting caught in the obstacle. Reaching the final section, Stampy states that he is unsure of his plan for the section, deciding to create a zig-zag motion and eventually connecting up the track to the starting area. Due to the lack of a pig, Stampy demonstrates the basic workings of the race in that players will make the first turn to a pit of water to exceed past, then across the bridge and underneath it, choosing one of the two choice routes afterwards, finally leading to the zig-zag element, considering adding the tripwire to trigger water to go, ending up at the finish line eventually afterwards.
Building up walls for the bridge afterwards, Stampy additionally explains that each wall will be built up by two to block each pig off, and is ironically greeted by a spontaneous pig dashing around and through the race track, admiring his speed as he is then greeted by L for Leeeee x's sudden appearance. With L for Leeeee x present, Stmapy is then given a working carrot on a stick as he additionally confirms to have gathered two pigs for the race. Climbing onto his own pig, Stampy warns L for Leeeee x to stay clear of the walls being one block high only, and the two of them then line up for the test race, after which Stampy then gives a countdown.
Starting the test race, Stampy decides the winner to be the winner of the one test lap, and eventually, by the end, Stampy travels through the mini-game and successfully wins the first test, mostly due to his pig being of speed, seeing L for Leeeee x persist his follow behind. Stampy then announces his plans for the next episode, intending to fill the floor of the track in with pink, as well as adding in the obstacles, and then hosting the first official race, and then ending the episode with the line "But that's the end of this video here, I wanna thank you all very much for watching, and hopefully, I'll see you in my next episode. Byeeeeee!"
