Issues[]

The series had been on a long hiatus after the 7th episode, and it took a month before the next episode was released.

In the 8th episode, Stampy apologised to the viewers that the series will never be completed because he lost footage of the succeeding episodes, but he used software to retrieve some of them. Stampy also thought of replaying the entire game again, but he has already finished the playthrough. The lost footage included the ending cutscene of the game, but as he noticed that other playthrough videos often received copyright strikes due to the cutscenes that were directly taken from the film, he wouldn't have shown the ending anyway. He revealed in the ninth episode of The Bonus Points Podcast that he also constantly received copyright strikes due to the cutscenes, and because of this, he had thought of just quitting his playthrough entirely, which he did after the technical errors happened. [1]

The succeeding episodes (except Parts 9 and 10 which were lost) were uploaded as unlisted videos and are accessible in his Ratchet & Clank playlist. This is one of the few series that went on a hiatus and the only one that he officially quit from uploading.

Trivia[]

  • Stampy had already played one of the games in the series with one of his friends.
  • He mentioned that he played and liked Jak and Daxter (although he played the first game only) more than Ratchet & Clank. Both these video game series were popular in the early 2000s.
  • The game was featured in the ninth episode of The Bonus Points Podcast. It was suggested to the podcast by Christien Guy, who is a Ratchet & Clank fan and a friend of Joseph Garrett's co-host, Oli Guy.
