"They obviously won't be shut now because... I've... just broke them off, but, uh, once I put them down, uh, hopefully the doors are gonna, uh, instantly shut themselves. Let's go try it out, let's go see if my redstone wizardry, uh, has worked." |
— Stampy questioning himself on his experience upon finishing the redstone for his bow and arrow-minecart battle mini-game. |
"Redstone Wizardry" is the 149th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and his helpers finish building the bow and arrow-minecart battle mini-game.
Plot[]
Anime art & the entertaining cat duo[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing Mittens, of whom is running around on the balcony of his bedroom, as well as L for Leeeee x, of whom is gradually poking through the painting, having asked him how he is doing as well like he had Mittens before and commenting on how the people he asks are unable to speak due to him being the only one. He asks him for his cake, which he gives, and Stampy eats, deciding on a second cake and eating half of it, leaving the rest to L for Leeeeee x. Leaving his bedroom, Stampy also introduces liamardo93 as "a very well-dressed man", noting him to be standing to attention by holding out his diamond sword. Stampy asks him of where his bedroom is, only for liamardo39 to end up randomly and spontaneously travel around the middle area of his house, which Stampy finds to be entertaining, and then visits his Love Garden to give a shoutout to "Tyler Pridemore" for sending him a selection of anime-styled artwork, including a pirate version of himself, and various pictures of his helpers such as Amy Lee3, as well as Mittens climbing on Duncan, committing to various pieces of artwork and wanting to show as much as he can.
Afterwards, Stampy then turns around to then find Mittens hanging in the middle of the heart symbol within the Love Garden, to his confusion, and then states that there is a link in the description to all of the pictures on his Facebook page, where he uploads fanart every day from various people. Firstly, however, before heading to Stampy's Funland, Stampy ventures into his doghouse to pick a dog, seeing one of them, Spring in the corridor leading to it, as well as L for Leeeee x pretending to be a dog again, something he finds to be entertaining, the actual dog he is taking with him being Benton, whom he characterises as having "two ears", listing off those currently present in the episode, and hinting at those who are present in the episode and including LONG bow X99, of whom was present in the previous episode, continuing to build his mini-game where players trapped in a pod have to use a bow and arrow to fire upwards and drop back down onto minecarts, considering having done acceptably progress in the previous episode.
Laying out middle platforms & setting up redstone for the bow and arrow-minecart battle mini-game[]
Arriving at Stampy's Funland via Tree Train, Stampy describes the progress made in the previous episode in that he has also added extra to it, only requiring to add the redstone to it, which he warned his viewers of and simultaneously assured the simplicity and easiness of in the previous episode, completing it in the present episode. While doing so, Stampy's helpers while build a border around it, due to, as demonstrated in the previous episode, hostile mobs and animals present in the arena, affirming that anyone unwanted will be unable to take entry. At the mini-game in its current state, Stampy then sees LONG bow X99 standing on top of It's A Lovely World looking at the nearby giraffe with a black 2x2 cube on top of it, thinking it to be a hat or an afro, and then ending up dropping down underneath the mini-game upon investigating it, to his confusion, then seeing a miniature version of it underground.
Stampy then declares that he won't create another episode where he is constantly distracted again, as he did in the previous episode, deciding to complete the mini-game due to wanting to play it by the end of the episode. In terms of his plans, the final addition to the surface point of the mini-game is to add the middle section, which will be a raised platform featuring all of the different colours, and each colour will be positioned by making the team player colour on the back right for reason of working out the redstone. Stampy adds the first platform, setting down the yellow first, in the back right as necessary, and then proceeds to add the rest down in a formation that leads them on the back left instead, eventually determining the layout as red-yellow-blue-green clockwise, saying that the layout has to be as it is for the sake of fairness and the redstone, and then breaks down underneath through the middle of the squares of each platform to mark the position of each minecart, and then decides he should start on the yellow side.
For this, Stampy firstly has to remove the minecarts and detector rails to make holes digging underneath, using it as the demonstration and then speed up the video in order to copy the same idea to the rest of the teams so his viewers don't have to watch him repeat the same process over again. While continuing to break through the holes to reach the underneath, Stampy states that he is creating them temporarily and will return the minecarts to their original position later, and after creating the holes, Stampy realises that he has been built into the mini-game due to his helpers agreeably building the border around the mini-game. Stampy creates a staircase out of his green wool blocks, and then gathers his extra stone in order to create redstone repeaters, additionally that his helpers require glass upon seeing the window surrounding only be one block tall.
Creating the redstone mechanism for the bow and arrow-minecart battle mini-game[]
Returning back to the underground, Stampy sees both of his pets waiting at the entry staircase, wondering if they were missing him, and then starts to build the redstone. He explains the basic process in that there will be trails leading from the minecarts in the middle to link up to the minecarts in the quadrants, now Stampy being required to build the redstone for himself. With the minecart being above the redstone, Stampy has to trail it down, and copies the same across to the rest of the minecarts to link up to one redstone signal, advising his viewers to copy him exactly if they don't understand him by words. Confusedly, Stampy checks the first redstone for the first platform he had made, wondering how he managed such, and then attempts to copy the redstone signal layout on a third platform. With the sign that his helpers were alerting him to before having loaded, Stampy reads it saying "what one?", the vagueness confusing him greatly.
Stampy starts adding the redstone to the top right yellow platform in the yellow quadrant, starting it where the minecart is supposed to be and then trailing it downwards, specifying that he also intends to colour code each redstone system, meaning that the yellow side that he is building will be coded with yellow wool blocks in order to prevent confusion. Stampy connects redstone from the two top platforms, and then connects the bottom right platform to the middle, noticing them having written another sign and stating them to have as much issue as himself, seemingly confused. In order to summarise the basic idea of the redstone, Stampy states that all of it will be enabled if one minecart is on the detector rail, meaning it doesn't matter which detector rail is chosen. Reading the second sign, Stampy finds it to say "follow", to his confusion and wonder, following L for Leeeee x up to the top. He follows him as requested to see him giving Stampy the two option on formatting the border around the mini-game, the left one of the yellow team being of a one-block high window and the right one of the red team being a two-block high window, with Stampy telling him the latter in order to level with the booths.
After clarifying to his helpers the design of the window, Stampy returns back down to finish off the redstone, only being required to add the fourth and final platform to the redstone signal, connecting up all of the platforms to the same signal within the middle, then allowing it to connect up to the minecarts in the middle, positioned as planned, explaining that another reason for the platforms being raised is to also hide the redstone. Stampy starts to trail the signal down from the middle yellow platform, and then leads it across to the rest of the yellow platforms, surmising the concept as set of redstone trails linking up together to then end up underneath the main booth, at which point he then breaks underneath the doors. At this point, to connect up the redstone to the doors above, the player then has to gather redstone torches, positioning them underneath the doors so they are perpetually open. This is what the minecarts on the detector rails will counter by inverting the signal and perpetually closing them instead.
Essentially completing the basic idea of the redstone, Stampy confirms his idea of the redstone in question being easy as he said previously, though he may have increased confusion with his explanation. in order to connect the redstone to the doors, Stampy directs two currents into the redstone torches themselves, though he runs out of yellow wool for colour-coding. However, he assures that there isn't a particular reason to use colours besides simply being confused, and then LONG bow X99 coincidentally decides to lend him a large collection of yellow wool, to his entertainment, hoping the redstone works, which he tests via redstone torch, successfully. Stampy then crafts redstone repeaters in order to lengthen his signal for the middle yellow platform, though he ends up running out of redstone, requiring him to replenish via his supplies chest.
Finishing the first part of the redstone for the bow and arrow-minecart battle mini-game[]
Returning back down, Stampy connects the final redstone to the yellow platform, and gives context to an extra detail of glass in the floor of the underground area, the reason being due to the dungeon in the previous episode, and the entry of a mysterious, deep cave, considering exploring it, which LONG bow X99 does for himself anyway as he breaks through the glass. Stampy decides to enact a test of the mini-game in its current form, replacing the minecarts and detector rails, both of which he crafts in masses. He attempts to enter into the mini-game in order to set it up as it is, only to realise that he is unable to enter, deciding to set up a dirt staircase as he also realises the amount of torches set up around the mini-game, which is a requirement in order to prevent hostile mobs from spawning.
With the basic setup complete, Stampy now has to replace the material that he had broken of the mini-game, replacing the black wool of the holes that he broken in the middle of the platforms by returning them to their original form, hoping for the minecarts to shut the doors when on the detector rail and to open them when they are shot off, as part of his intentions, hoping the mini-game work due to the time spent making it. Setting down the final minecart in the middle, Stampy replaces the doors, of which are closed by default as planned, and then tests the opening process by shooting the minecarts from an aerial point, hoping the redstone works as planned, which it does as the doors open when all of the minecarts are shot off via bow and arrow, allowing the doors to open.
Stampy concludes the redstone, telling his viewers that the only necessary is to repeat the process for the four quadrants, meaning the mini-game will be complete, and though he may be unable to copy across to all four in the present episode, he will instead fix the mini-game so he can then invite some of his helpers for the first official tournament of the mini-game, of which he also has formed a name for, which he will reveal in the next episode. Stampy then thanks his helpers for helping him in building the border, comparing his progress made to the progress on the redstone underneath and finding it comical how different it is, thinking that the progress made together is agreeable. Stampy then thanks his viewers for watching and that there will be a link in the description to the next episode, ending the episode with the line "So I'll see you all later. Byeeeee!"
